From the time they crossed over Jordan until 722BC when it was destroyed and scattered among the nations. So about 700 years

The kingdom of Judah was uprooted in the 6th century BC, but was restored to the land 70 years later along with a remnant of Israel from all nations. So around 900 years for Judah.

After Israel's/Judah's return they were back in the land for about 4 centuries until Christ.

The greatest threat to Christianity is anti semitisim. Which has been before Jesus and currently gripped the world again.
A un provoked hatred proven by the young people taken to the streets who have no knowledge or experiences regarding Israel at all but became a voice of hatred and violence of a nation defending its self.
Compare the 2 wars which are front and center. Ukraine and Israel defends its self, which one is hated? Both were attacked.
Explain to me why Israel is so scrutinized and become a offense to many who but a few years ago wouldn't know where it was on a map.
Even now many have absolutely no idea what its all about or where it is.
Yet raise the flag and propaganda of there enemy for victory and promote and invite a terrorist government to over throw there country.

The Romans called us "Christians" first, like we were simply followers of a philosopher named Christ. That's why I do not call myself a Christian.

Believer, son of God, saint, brother in Christ? Sure.

Yes, I knew someone else who told me that the label "Christian" was actually coined as a slur and he also would not use the word.
I can see the reasoning behind it.

Yeah. I wrote this a while ago;

The tradition was to call followers of philosophers after the name of their philosopher master. So the Roman people in Antioch just followed tradition when they labeled the believers as “Christians”.

Peter’s use of it was specific to persecution. He was saying “Even when they persecute you as a “Christian” don’t lose heart: they are associating you with Him.” This is my paraphrase that captures the meaning of his encouragement to believers who would suffer.

The issue with “Christian” is many-fold. It’s not just that it’s derived from a Roman tradition, also, it’s that Christ is more than a philosopher or teacher. He came not to show us different rules for life, but He actually made a way, by His own sacrifice, into the presence of the Living God. He changes our being and nature, not just our lifestyle. More so, the power He wields is not of the mind but of the Spirit. He is God not just a philosopher.

Are you making a judgement call? Because your behavior here isn't very Christlike. A lot of keyboard warriors here seem to think God died and put them in charge of peoples souls. How bout you let God be God and humble yourself a tiny bit?

Yes I am making a judgment call. Jesus said we wil know people by their fruits, and I discern a lot of ungodly fruit being produced by people who consider themselves to be Christians.

So because I believe God keeps His promises you're going to play God and assume I'm not born again. I'm so glad none of you are God and I sure hope none of you are in evangelistic ministry. You'd send more people to hell than you'd win to heaven.

Oh you discern do you? You know peoples hearts and minds huh? You're like a little elf for Jesus. Anyone disagrees with your POV they're not saved. You small minded people. Like I said, stay away from evangelism, you'll send more people to hell than you win into heaven. You totally avoided my question if venerating and worshiping Jews and Jerusalem is in the bible, so I have to assume that, yes, that is exactly what you posted means to you
