Is the Earth flat?

Im trying to figure this out. You do realize that the sun moving backwards or the earth spinning backwards would have the same effect right? Are you saying God cannot stop the earth from spinning?

Something or another about the circle of the earth. This implies that it is round. A flat earth would not have seasons, and the entire surface would be lit up by the sun 24 hours a day. Of course, in a flat earth there would not be 24 hours in a day because the earth would not have an axis to rotate on.

How would he kill everyone? Let me guess we'd all fly off the surface of the earth? Are you saying God can't figure out centrifugal forces or gravity? And by saying it would kill everyone on earth you are agreeing we are spinning not the sun.

One way he could have done this is with refraction of light.
 
Do you see just how much "jumping through hoops" you are willing to do in order to not even consider what the Bible says?

First of all, I am not agreeing with anything - I just know how to "talk ball earth" with someone - using it as a reference for discussion - to frame something in your perspective. (something most ball earth folks absolutely refuse to do - discuss in a flat earth perspective)

If the earth were spinning, and stopped suddenly, it would immediately throw everything (including people and mountains) with great force in an eastern direction. It would literally destroy [nearly] everything on the face of the earth.

Here again - whether you realize it or not - you are trying to rationalize God instead of trying to understand what He actually did according to scripture.

In the Bible, He has told us what He did - listen to Him.

Start with Genesis 1 - which @Ceph wants to discuss with you.

Make sure you get the influence of modern science totally out of your head - listen to God only.

The reason I say this is because modern science has been lying to you since birth. And, you cannot wrap scripture around it or you will never understand the truth of scripture. You must place the Word of God above all else - including modern science.

When you study scripture, you cannot allow all of the crap you have been taught since birth to interfere with it.

To understand what God really actually says is the goal.
 
When you read scripture and think/say "That cannot be because <modern science pronouncement>." - it is very highly likely that you just robbed yourself of a proper understanding of some important thing that scripture is trying to get across to you... :(

What most flat earthers do not understand is that gravity can only pull in one direction. Therefore, if the earth was round, people on the other side would be pulled up a float away. Sort of like an early Rapture!

But they just erase gravity from reality. Kid of the opposite of what Hawking does to
say since a law like gravity exists, the universe could create itself from nothing. LOL

And he is supposed to be smart man!!!
