I think it is a massive stretch to say God is cruel.
God created all the world for us to enjoy and cultivate. He walked directly hand in hand with us and showed us what is right and we rebelled. Imediately after saving our lives from the first distruction we rebelled. He gave us prophet after prophet yet we rebelled. He sent his own son who we beat brutally and gruesomely murdered, yet his patients and grace continues. We deserve nothing better than hell. We rebelled, murder, worship material, lie, cheat, steal, and we call ourselves good. Just look at us, we will debate as to whether or not a mother should murder her own child. We destroy everything we touch including our bodies and minds. The pornography industry testifies against our so called goodness.
No God is merciful beyond measure. I would have destroyed it all a long time ago. I can not understand why God endurs us thus far.
Nailed!

Reminds me of this short video which is 100% needed and accurate:

God did destroy it all a long time ago. He destroyed all of Sodom and Gomorrah save for one family deemed righteous. He destroyed the first born of every Egyptian house after hardening Pharaoh's heart so that he would be unable to let his people Go. And , just to list a few, he destroyed the entire population of the world by drowning, save for numbers of animals and Noah's family deemed righteous so as to populate the world again with sinful mortals. Noah was a drunkard. After the deluge. God sent in 2nd Kings 2 two bears to maul more than 40 children. God's laws prescribed death for certain sins, transgressions, deemed abomination. Adultery, homosexuality.
God is cruel. He is also kind. Remember though, God is the darkness and the light. God is all things.

By the way, Diogenes' Chicken....

You featherless biped you. ;):giggle:(y)
My friend, God is not cruel as you erroneously posted. He is just, holy, and righteous, and that is why He punishes the lost wicked people. But He is not cruel.

The lost hate God.
5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.(Romans 5 NASB)

I believe the KJV states they are at enmity with God, which means to have an ill will towards Him. The lost do, as you correctly state, hate God my friend.

Glad to see you using a real Bible my brother.

Indeed like in the garden, what did God do clothed them to keep them warm out of garden, that's not cruel, cruel would be tossing them out the garden naked and vulnerable to the elements.

The glaring issue in all this blaming God (thinking he is unfair, replying against him, unafraid of BLASPHEMING HIS NAME AND CHARACTER by calling HIM cruel &c &c &c) is this:

They have a lower view of God than themselves, and by necessity a high view of mankind. Sadly it is obvious a true encounter with God is lacking.

I hear you bro, but I don't think the latter would have been cruel.
