I have studied .God told Peter that he cleaned those gentiles and that Peter should not consider them unclean.


Why do you believe Peter needed to wash those gentiles after God washed them?

Do you also not get the message God was giving?


Acts 10:15
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.


The message is that what God has cleansed.Not what Peter has cleansed.

It the washing away of sin which God has performed on those gentiles that had made them clean.Not Peter washing them .
You may want to read or possibly reread @Beckworth post #429. It accurately expresses what was meant.

It's hard to accept a concept if you start from a faulty position.

No,what the message expressed is God cleaned them .They are no longer unclean.

You should not say that God did not clean them when the word of God says he did.God had washed them clean every wit.There were no sins to be found in those gentiles after what God had done to them
Praise God.

As for Peter,he had no need to wash them after God had washed them. They were already cleaned by God as the word of God says.

I was cleaned in the same way by God.
I'm speaking from experience.

The scripture below parallels what was presented to all groups of humanity concerning the NT rebirth:

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Yes, the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus at the time of His baptism was given as a sign
to John of He Who would baptize with fire and the Spirit... John, whom Jesus called the
greatest of the prophets because he was sent to herald the coming of the long-awaited
Messiah. I do not see many saying how it is that Jesus fulfilled all righteousness by
having John water baptize Him. It was necessary because under the OT law, priests
were required to undergo baptism before taking up their priestly duties.

My only position is not that Jesus doesn’t give the Holy Ghost to believers but that baptism is bf r repentance and remission of sins in his name this is the church doctrine in the Bible and clearly it involves water before the cross and also after the church received the Holy Ghost Jew and gentile

Peter isnt wrong to baptize these people in Jesus name for remission of sins as he did before it’s what he was commanded to do and a great promise and gift to mankind remission of sins to all who repent and believe in him who died to remit thier sins

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? Notice they still kept baptizing in the Bible Mean ? They didn’t just tell everyone “ now we dont need baptism for remission of sins we received the spirit “ Th one who received the spirit had all been baptized and were sent to baptize others of all nations

they clearly were baptizing in water for remission of sins in his name well after the church was established is my point .

Tbat doesn’t replace receiving the spirit but receving the spirit doesn’t remove baptism for remission of sins either water and spirit

Heh, ya, know, bro, magenta does not exist in the spectrum of visible colours at all! Our minds manufacture it. LOL

Anyway, after I posed that question and didn't receive an immediate response, I chose not to wait and began a panel
featuring the verse you alluded to... and I selected magenta and various shades of purple as the primary colours

Jesus clarified the second clause of Mark 16:16 with, "but he who does not believe will be condemned." Nothing there about a lack of baptism causing condemnation.

What happened to baptism in John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25-26? Did Jesus forget to mention it? What is the 1 condition that Jesus mentioned in those 9 verses? *BELIEVES. *Hermeneutics.

It seems that some folks count the verses that seem to support one view, then count the other verses that seemingly speak against that view, and whichever has the most verses wins.

And scripture doesn't conflict with or contradict other scripture. So, all pertinent scriptures must be considered and the content of all in total. Every scripture individually doesn't tell the whole of the subject matter, but when you tie all scriptures together on any, given topic, such as baptism and salvation, is when you can ascertain the truth of the matter. Why not just 1 gospel? Why 4? Do we get the complete message from 1, or 4 when all 4 are considered? The answer is obvious and applies to the entirety of scripture.

I prefer to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching my conclusion on doctrine. If the interpretation of a few verses end up contradicting numerous verses, then the interpretation of those few verses must be wrong. Scripture must harmonize with other scripture.

Agree 100%. There have been times I’ve spent six months on an issue before thoroughly fleshing it out. I was taught the ICE method of study. Isagogics, categorical, and exegetical.

That’s why we need the Holy Spirit to help us interpret scripture.
