@ThereRoseaLamb : Yes, good point, sister! He really has no right to talk to people like that!

I hope you're OK.

I appreciate your concern. But as the Word says, by their fruits you will know them. This person has shown us rotten fruit. A true follower of Christ would show compassion. Sheep and the goats. Some are just easier to spot. God will sort them out. Have a blessed afternoon!!

Some people take a long time to show themselves here, you didn't. Thanks, ignoring your ignorance up front is a whole lot easier.

Yeah lots of folks reject God's Word and play the victim when someone starts quoting God's Word.

God's Word can help those that accept it and walk in it, but many just won't do that. Sad.

Yes, clearly a person with cancer wants to continue to have cancer and are doing so so they can play the victim. Makes perfect sense.

Your deceitful twisting of scripture and complete lack of any kind of empathy or brotherly love (Rom. 12:10) is less like "truth" and more like slander, lies, and ragebait. You are not speaking "the whole counsel of the Lord" and if you think you are then you think that you are either God himself or a prophet. I think you're just trying to hurt and spread division though.

You seem to say that a lot to what others say. Apparently you have confused the two. Perhaps you then worship both? But you know you can't serve two masters Stan. You know far too much about "satan's lies" for me not to think that you must be well versed in them.
Easy there. I give it a 61% chance that StanDupe is trolling.

Whether he's trolling or not, there is really only one way to play this kind of person. For entertainment. If you take him seriously it can only lead to high blood pressure. Trying to talk sense to people like this is like trying to teach a pig how to sing. It doesn't work and it annoys the pig.

If you can't not take him seriously, there's always the ignore button...

May I suggest, it can also be helpful to stop engaging with the person and keep reporting any especially vicious posts. The mods here are unpaid volunteers but they do the very best job they can.

While not everyone who seeks to assault people using the Word of God as their cover is let go from the community, the mods do find it helpful when members let them know what's going on.

May God bless you, @SilverBigBack, and don't lose heart! :)

Please feel free to keep posting.

What often happens, especially in other parts of the forum, is that the other members wind up having a conversation with each other and just keep maneuvering around such attacks.

I'd hardly call that a man. A sure sign is when they make their account information private. I'd guess someone trolling. They haven't said a civil word to a person here yet. Extremely immature. I hope he doesn't act that way in real life, what an awful testimony for the Gospel.
I hope he DOES act that way in real life. I would pay cash to see him trying hopelessly to interact with a group of people.

I called it an "act" earlier for a reason. Only a lunatic would act this way seriously in real life. I'm convinced he gets a hit from stepping on people's toes and spitting in their faces and scripture is just one way he does that. I enjoyed going over the top Lynx, and playing his game for a bit was fun :)
(However I will be praying for him regardless)

Thanks for the warm consideration :giggle:
I stopped taking this guy seriously shortly after some of his first replies and could no longer deny myself the temptation to play his game a bit. I was not offended or emotional although I can see why it was perceived that way.

Oh... Well then... I can certainly understand that, as I often do it myself.

Knock yourself out dude.

I always find it discouraging when new members are genuinely trying their best to integrate into the community in a meaningful way, but sometimes get immediately shot down for no reason.

I'm so glad you haven't let it deter you and that you're just marching right through it. (y)

Kudos to you. :)

I definitely can have a grave tone even when joking. And he did piss me off before. But I assure you that I don't actually believe this guy is a satanist and that his immature little digs more stimulated me than angered me :)
Have a good night! I have enjoyed the messages we shared today.

I confess that in the earlier stages of this thread I too was discouraged, but after things developed to the point they got to I really started to see him as the clown he was. But really, thanks again for caring. I am really impressed by the long-time members here on CC.

I also confess that I'm a total noob to (participating in) forums and this first thread has caused me to learn a whole lot for a better experience next time!

I had heard it taught that Moses' speech was a bit crude (somewhat like Peter, as he was prone to fits of anger) and Isaiah 6:5 came to mind as I wondered at the relation of Moses' uncircumcised lips. So, I looked it up to see if the same word was applied and found in the case of Moses 'uncircumcised lips' aral or unskilled was used, and in the case of Isaiah's 'unclean lips,' or teme, was used. However, the ambiguity of the English term 'crude' or 'insensitive' might... or I might be way too scrupulous when it comes etymology.
I just looked this up, and according to the NAS Exhaustive Concordance, aral (עָרֵל) literally means to "count as foreskin". Aral probably makes clumsy look cute? I'm thinking 'crude' and 'insensitive' plus unclean, shameful and useless to the point of being deadly?

Clumsy example: Bro trips over his shoelaces.
Aral example: Bro is a tightrope walker and trips over his shoelaces in the middle of an act, 100 feet up in the air with no safety net.
