Seinfeld isnt for everyone. I like it my late wife didnt. Seinfeld himself said, its a show about nothing. George is the charachter i get a kick out of. And Kramer too is entertaining.
Friends was lacking in grit and reality. Its great for those who want to ignore the problems of society and bury their heads in the sand
Praying reading the Bible and listening to worship music and worshiping Jesus even more than you usually do are Godly cures for loneliness because Jesus is our best friend that never lets us down, I know because I do it a lot and it works every time he's always there for me
The song 'what a friend we have in Jesus' is a classic, and written by a man who lost his wife, or was it child? (well I mean passed away) so I think its especially poignant.
The thing about being alone, is not that it bad its just burdens SEEM heavier when you are alone. But we are not meant to carry such heavy burdens all by ourselves. Give them to God.

I can relate to the introvert part! I'm in such a new phase in my life. Homeschooled my kids for 25 years and now they are all adults...and now I have too much time in my hands and I am beyond lonely. Church twice a week, working a bit, not into tv, need a hobby that doesn't make spend $$ lol...trying to meet friends ...uggg.

but think I need something more because this season is continuing longer than I thought...days seem very longLove your humour, I too can be introverted, in fact I am like a pendulum, to the world I seem extroverted but in reality I am introverted. Whatever the case may be, we are called to relationship in Christ, with Jesus as the head and we as the body. We need each other.
Only recently the Lord opened my eyes to the danger of loneliness, we are in danger of feeding on the wrong things when we are lonely, which is a door way into sin. Just as with fasting, there is a time to come away from the crowd, but I don't think we should stay away permanently, we were built for community, our king- Jesus stayed in community, and so should we. Remember the word says that steel sharpens steel

After being in the maddening crowd, yes it can be, but it can also be cold, silent and dreadful. May God continue to give us what we need in every season.
writers and artists have retreats in communities as well. You just need to find your 'tribe'. That is why bands form, and there are special studios. I dont remember the steel sharpens steel, I do know that IRON sharpens IRON though.
temptations are around us all the time whether alone or in crowds. If you live in a big city, I think having a retreat from the daily hustle and bustle is needed. Thats why green parks are so important.
I know what you mean it helps but it doesn't cure loneliness, You try to forget about being lonely but it's hard, having friends help, but if you have friends that hardly speak to you it doesn't help, and that's where I'm at that's why I pray a lot read the word and listen to worship music worship God and Jesus even more than usual, Jesus he never leaves my side he is always there for me I have been through a lot not being able to eat solid food for about two years because my throat was messed up from a surgery, praying worshiping God is what help keep me alive and lead to me getting well, I also had cancer and got healed, losing my dad the day before Easter this year was hard to deal with the hospital starved him to death a very bad way to die because of them I don't have a dad anymore, it took a lot for me to forgive that hospital that's just some of what I went through and Jesus never left my side, now I am called to preach to young people.I agree with all of that
Do what works for you, try things that makes you happy, but remember true happines only comes when you anchor your self to God and know that whatever circumstances you maybe in, the security you have in knowing Gods love for you is constant, reading and meditating his word, praying.

Sometimes piano
I Clean / re arrange or redecor my space/ place/ furnitures
Being grateful is one key (when I start to feel sad I think of the more less fortunate than I am, like the orphans, the street children, people who begs, people who are incapacitated, who are bed ridden, abused, or in rehabilitation center.. etc... makes me more appreciative in what I have right now and be thankful to God, also you can pray for them in the process) you'll feel better after.
Try different things, see what you love doing most, find what makes you happy, then incorporate it in your life when you feel lonely, you can do one or more.
Just in moderation when it comes to TV.

I like old movies and TV shows. I have a PS4 i use as a dvd/bluray player and lots of dvds my late wife and i collected. Also have the Tubi app d/loaded on the PS4. Lots of movies and shows on there and its free.
I also play lord of the rings online on PC. Lots of people to play with and make friends. I play with one friend i met in world of warcraft over 10 years ago. Thats what I do to fill the void.

I also love old movies and tv show, where can I find them online? Bec Some are not available, if u dont mind.
Tubi.com is the one I like. I have it d/loaed to my PS4 but if you have a smart TV you can d/load to it. A few years ago I had netflix on my laptop and ran a cable from it to my TV so you can go that way also. Tubi is free with comercials but not as many as what you get on the over the air channels.
