Go on a hike and whistle and make it a point to look for Sasquatch/Bigfoot. What's the harm?

TRUE STORY - About 3 years ago I met a young lady who was about 19 years old and she told me her name was Yeti. I asked her how it's spelled, and it was "Yeti".

So, it's decision time...

Do I ask her if she knows what a Yeti is? It's a good time, I'll be gentle. It could happen at a much worse time, right?

She doesn't know what a Yeti is. I tell her, and all the references to Yeti in pop culture I've heard. She doesn't take it badly, but not that great either. She says, "Well, I'm not a big hairy animal." I said, no, you're a lovely young lady, I just thought you should know.

I dunno... Yeti is also the name brand of a product line of coolers. You could say that's a cool name. ;)

Is this your friends cats name?

I still want to know what it is.

So, did I make the right decision to tell her what the only known definition of her was, even if it's a foreign word from the Himalayas? It was just her, her female friend and me.

Do this at a job interview or to your Son.

Burn the dinner you are making your date.
Cover for your lack of cooking skills by calling it "blackened"

I have been known to do that, depending on how much cheese I order.

A local convenience store makes an excellent pizza (when the right person is there making it.) I order a supreme, extra-extra-extra cheese (yes it's expensive) and request it well done to make sure it cooks all the way through.
