all pastors who are called hear from God yet they must pursue God and His will.Do you know any prophets or pastors that hear from God often

I also was once Pentecostal and tongue-talker, but God told me it wasn't of Him. So I've had a vested interest in finding out what exactly modern tongues is. The fact that so many people are deceived by it doesn't mean they are possessed by an evil spirit. In my studies I've discovered that modern tongues is a mere human ability, and anyone can do it if they try hard enough (it takes "letting go" of control of speech, which is very difficult for most people). I certainly understand why many think it is devil possession.
So true tongues described in the New Testament is actual languages that can be understood as in Acts 2. That is miraculous, whereas modern tongues is not. Just because someone can speak nonsense fluently and make it sound like a language doesn't mean it's the same thing as Biblical tongues. I recommend this book, if you can still get it:
https://www.amazon.com/Tongues-men-...003&sr=1-2&keywords=tongues+of+men+and+angels
However, it's very expensive now because of its rarity. I bought it years ago and only paid $11.
Also, this video is a very good analysis:
May God bless you and keep leading you in His ways.
The Bible also teaches that we are all members of the body of Christ, and we are to minister to one another. The same passage, I Corinthians 12, lists prophecy as one of the spiritual gifts were are to use to edify one another. The Bible does not say that our only way to hear from God is individualistic, or that God only speaks to us as individuals through scripture. We should be faithful with the copies of the scriptures we have been entrusted with, to read them, with our time to read and pray, and to minister to others. But the Bible shows that God can speak to one person through another. There are numerous examples of this in the Bible.“It is the responsability of each believer to hear from the Holy Spirit and act from His word. If you don’t is because you are either deaf spiritually speaking or you have failed to read God’s word on your own without depending so much on others.
The passage says they were speaking in languages (tongues.) It is a convoluted interpretation to assume that the languages they heard the disciples speaking in were different from the languages the apostles spoke in.i am not sure what he mean by speak in tongue mean the ability to preach to other language
in this case Indonesian who learn English and preach in english, mean speak in tongue
in act, apostle speak in other tongue mean all people heard them speak in their langue
for example, Peter preach in English, people from Spanish hear him in Spanish, Indonesian hear him preach in Indonesian with out interpreter
in Corinthians Paul say there is a gift that need interpretation
seem that other type of gift in tounge
Do u know any prophets or pastors that hear from God oftendon't we all![]()

OkI would say no I do not. But, the Bible has the words of many prophets and even he words of God's own Son, Jesus
I would be careful of people calling themselves prophets as there are many who make false prophecies.
Many claim they are hearing from God and they are not hearing from God. In fact, the Bible warns us of people like that and the safest thing, is to read the Bible and even study it.
Thats not my life and walk or, church. God moves big in my life regularly. Its not at all what I have seen from the charismatic teachings. Lutherans are not necessarily cessationists. We disagree with charismatic about what the gifts are, and how they areadministered.kYeah, I gave a straight up testimony and you and others must think it's a lie. Use to be a day in age where a part came in the service called testimony time. Saints would stand up and tell what God had done, sometimes something simple, sometimes miracles. We got away from that as people fell into unbelief and cynicism. I understand, fake tv evangelists had a lot to do with leading people into unbelief. Now we have a Gospel with no power, a God that can't heal and believers who are apathetic to all of it. They believe in the power of God about as much as an atheist does, (not speaking of you specifically). And we wonder why churches are empty, teens are lost, marriages broken. We need to rip those old songs out of the hymnal like "Lord, Send the Fire" and the ever popular "There's Power in the Blood". We don't believe that anymore, we don't expect God to move, and miracles aren't possible. What a sad day in age for the defeated church.
