Saved to be with the Lord when he dies by faith.
Saved from the corruption of the world by works.

If man is not perfected before he dies, the Lord will use the time in the millennium to work out anything that was missing.

Scripture is quite clear faith without works is dead just like a body without a spirit. Janes says, faith is brought to completion by works. If faith needs completion then by definition it alone can't be sufficient for salvation.

So then I have no choice but to do the works of the faith given to me?
Well you could look at that way, but then that would be making Gods will in you look like it means nothing.

You could say I have no choice but to do the right thing, that sounds better 🙂

Works are proof of the faith given to you 🙂

If you have no choice but to do the right thing then you can't be acting out of love. That sounds fair worse than I have a choice but choose to follow God's will because I love him. If God is love why would he give us no choice?

Keep working. Who knows, you might eventually get there.
Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

Whoops! So much for works-righteousness.

Really? That's fascinating

Romans 2:6-10

6 For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve.[a] 7 To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life. 8 But for those who are slaves to selfish ambition and follow the path of wickedness and not of truth, wrath and fury will be their lot.

9 There will be affliction and distress for everyone who does evil—Jews first and then Gentiles. 10 However, glory, honor, and peace await everyone who does good—Jews first, and then Gentiles.

So, you disagree with Romans 4:5-6? We must not pit scripture against scripture. We must properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching our conclusion on doctrine.

If one reads Romans 2:6-10 in isolation from the rest of the book of Romans, one might conclude that Paul was teaching salvation by works. However, as you read and study these passages, it’s imperative to keep in mind that these verses do not describe how one becomes saved, but the way the saved conduct their lives. These good works done are the result of and not the basis or means of by which we receive eternal life. So patient continuance in well doing, seeking for glory, honor, and immortality; (vs. 7) is not at all set forth as the means of their procuring eternal life, but as a description of those to whom God does render life eternal.

*Notice that ALL who receive eternal life are described as such, everyone who does good (vs. 10). Good deeds flow from a heart that is saved and evil deeds flow from a heart that is unsaved. Verse 8 - but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath.

*Notice that ALL who do not receive eternal life are described as such, everyone who does evil (vs. 9). What those passages convey is that though our deeds are judged by God, it's not the good deeds themselves which are the basis or means by which we receive eternal life, but the type of deeds expose our hearts.

These good deeds done out of faith are the fruit of, but not the root of salvation. If Paul wanted to teach that we are saved by works, then he would have clearly stated that we are saved through faith and works in Ephesians 2:8 and that we are justified by faith and works in Romans 5:1 but that is clearly NOT what Paul said. *Also see (Romans 3:24-28; 4:4-6; 11:6; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9 etc..).

LMBO a distinction without a difference. If we arent free to reject Jesus then we can't be action out of love.
Yes, I do understand that in your theology, being taken captive to do the will of the devil equals freedom.

Although the word salad quotient of your post was pretty high...

Correct.

The work is defined by Jesus for salvation to be with Him in John 6:

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.

His will and desire that lives in you is more important than the choice you make 🙂

If Abraham was indeed justified by works, he had something to boast about, but not before God. For
what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Not if God is love
So if a parent loves their child they will not enforce standards that might oppose some foolish
and/or detrimental choice the child would make? Eh, obviously standards are enforced out of love.

FWers make little-to-no sense.

Yep it's all called assurance of salvation 🙂

It's shows if you are doing right by him your saved, and those who are saved do right by him
