yes everyone who is chosen 🙂

Matthew 22
14 For many are called, but few [are] chosen.

So, where does that put the mega church?
with 8 plus billion in the world today, can 2 billion be the "FEW"?

Christ also called HIS Church a "little Flock" and yet there are 40,000 diverse flocks of all sizes???? all in disagreement, even to the point of violence.

And even in THE Church, read Revelation chapters 2 and 3, even in the seven Churches of God, there are many problems, ever read Chapter 25 in Matthew, and it is coming soon?

well a few could between 2 ànd 5

So it could the population reaches 40 billion as God likes the number 40, so it could be that church population reaches 8 billion people, as the number 8 is hoola hula 😋

But then again if the population reaches 40 billion how many people have there been untill it reaches that point

So it could be the church population will be 40 billion 🤩

In James 2:14, we read of one who says/claims (key word) he has faith but has no works (to evidence his claim). That is not genuine faith, but a bare profession of faith. So, when James asks, "Can that faith save him?" he is saying nothing against genuine faith, but only against an empty profession of faith/dead faith. So, James does not teach that we are saved "by" works. His concern is to show the reality of the faith professed by the individual (James 2:18) and demonstrate that the faith claimed (James 2:14) by the individual is genuine. Simple!

Also, James is not using the term "justified" in James 2:24 to mean "accounted as righteous" but is shown to be righteous. James is discussing the evidence of faith (says-claims to have faith but has no works/I will show you my faith by my works - James 2:14-18) and not the initial act of being accounted as righteous with God. (Romans 4:2-3) Works bear out the justification that already came by faith.

My comment:

In Hebrew 11 we are given an example of faith.

17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten [son],

Therefore: faith requires action -- acting on that "trust" in God, which is exactly what Abraham did.

The "doers", not words - Action demonstrated to God you trust Him. word are, as they say, are cheap.

Merely professing to have faith but producing no actions is not genuine faith but a bare profession of faith. In James 2:21, notice closely that James does not say that Abraham's work of offering up Isaac resulted in God accounting Abraham as righteous. The accounting of Abraham's faith as righteousness was made in Genesis 15:6, (also see Romans 4:2-3) many years before his work of offering up Isaac recorded in Genesis 22. The work of Abraham did not have some kind of intrinsic merit to account him as righteous, but it showed or manifested the genuineness of his faith. (James 2:18) That is the "sense" in which Abraham was "justified by works." (James 2:21) He was shown to be righteous.

Lots of people sin for lots of reasons, and despite that God shows through out his word he still loves them, whatever happens in the future for anyone, can only Be changed by God, so really the best thing to do is get right with God. He can change your future 🙂

But if faith alone is sufficient then that should make us "right with God" since out behavior is irrelevant.

yes, I stated: "If a person honestly repent" --- that shows Christians sin and they must go to the Father and repent. is there any person that has not sinned only in their mind?

Everybody sins but sin separates us from God. If faith is sufficient then my behavior is irrelevant.

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The position of salvation by faith alone denies that there are any works that we are required to have done first in order to earn our salvation as the result, but it does not deny that there are any content of our gift of salvation involves being a doer of good works. We embody our faith through our works.
The position of salvation by faith alone does not deny that works follow true faith. A "faith" that is without works is dead, and is no faith at all.

His grace is sufficient for everyone,

As for sin, well it's like this, as you grow up something you did wrong 10 years ago just becomes a distant memory, and something you don't even recall unless someone mentions it,. and even then you may not recall it.

But as for a sin you still feel condemned over, it is probably something your still being chastised for by God. 🙂

Nothing except our free will.

You're changing things. I didn't say grace I said faith.

So nothing does not mean nothing? That is not logical.

What means is God gave me a brain that actually works and can comprehend words and concepts. Scripture is packed full of examples of free will

You can't have faith without his grace.

God is the sower and it is by his grace your saved.

For instance whom the lord saves he chooses them to keep the lord faith. So there you have the full gospel summarised, the saving faith is the lords faith being planted in you by what ever amount of faith is sufficient for you.

You conflate volition with freedom, and deny Scripture to do so.

God rescued me from the dominion of darkness. Praise the Lord!
