Ya that's usually what gets my attention, someone giving to someone else. When I see that I just automatically keep an eye on that person if possible. I'm always looking for givers and what motivates them.

Something else to consider. If a mature Christian is really tweaking their giving, they would be doing it in secret wherever possible. Gods word says to give money in secret, fast in secret, charity giving in secret. So if a Christian was really good, they might be hard to spot.

I know that's not necessarily a mainstream understanding, but there it is nevertheless.
While giving “secretly “ is commendable, the context of Jesus’ words would suggest that “simply, humbly, and without fanfare” is also valid.

Since my native tongue is not english, might you explain the concept of "reverential fear" .... ?

Theres 5 main words for fear in the Greek texts.
Reverential fear would be something that controls the motives of life moral and spiritual. A dread of displeasing Him. It influences the disposition and attitude of one who is guided by trusting Him. Or just to be astonished by Him.

OK.

I don't know about anyone else, but that's my greatest fear. That I'll wake up one day and it will be gone.

Wouldn't that mean that you missed the rapture? Because that's when the restrainer is taken out, right?

You see we are in the age of grace. But when the rapture happens, the age of grace is over (!!) and we enter into a judgment phase on earth.

Being honest, I dont and haven't given the rapture or end times the kind of attention I give to Faith, faithing, the spirit of Christ, and Gods ways.

I wouldn't be able to defend any statements I could make.

I would say the fear of displeasing Him is high on my list.

OK.
I will be honest with you: I am not a christian. So I have no God to fear. The easy way? The opposite of the narrow path? Maybe. But we godless people have our problems as well.

Plus, it's very difficult to give in secret.

It wasnt that hard. There was a season wherein I decided to test the Lord with Tithing and see if He doesnt open the floodgates of heaven in blessings, remember?

My only problem was, I was married. (dun de dun dun) so I had to, not let my left hand know what my right hand was doing! I was self employed so I collected the checks at the house when I did the work...and I'd just slide by the bank and cash it then stop at my church on the way home and put it in a drop box near the door, Boom right back on the street, go home, give her the rest of it! And she never did figure it out, or I would'a been in the doghouse!

Oh and btw, my tithing test of God? Did He Bless me?

He Certainly Did! If there are some people who think they can't afford to tithe...

I found out that I can not afford not to tithe!

One time my phone rang in the parking lot of the church before I even left, an easy high paying job! Another time it was slow season and I did a small job and tithed on it on the way home...it wasn't enough to pay my utility bill but did buy me some food. I had a shut off notice for $300 and the shut off date came and went. I was waiting on work in faith. Two weeks after the shut off date and I had not paid...I was nervous! I called them! I had a shut off date two weeks ago and I havent paid...what do I expect? Are they on their way to shut me off?
Please Hold...
She comes back and said oh yes I took a look at it know what happened. The billing dept looked at my payment history and they can see that if I have the money, I pay. So they know I'm self employed and figured I might be in a slow season, so they decided to give me a break! Pay us when you can!

I was waiting for work, but we cant tell the Lord how to answer our prayers! So instead of giving me work, the Lord softened the heart of the people in the utility company! Wow! Utility companies do not give breaks to people!!

My wife was Catholic and would beat me up if I tried to put a dollar in the plate at church, lol. But as long as I was still handing her money she was happy Lol.

Lol. Your very words show that the Holy Spirit is with you.

Sometimes people say that you have to be clean to be Holy Spirit filled, and I dont think I believe that. The Holy Spirit doesnt demand rightousness. The Holy Spirit goes in even unbelievers that have no salvation yet.

Holy Spirit is our Conscience and even criminals have a conscience. The Holy Spirit, screaming at them, don't do that!! Right?
