you've got me curious now, have you got a link for this test and I'll let you know the result lol
Ah, no, it was a few years ago now as my daughter was having us do various personality tests,
and then I was curious to see what a religion type personality test would show... in fact, a number
of years ago someone joined asking right away about Quakers, and though I rarely say anything
beyond what is on my welcome panel, which has said essentially the same thing for many years
now, I spoke to him about Quakers and we ended up connecting quite ... profoundly with each other...

Did you both get the quakes and get an unquenchable thirst to be a Quaker. ☺️

You know what else is kind of funny is that there was another religious branch connected and similar to Quakers called Shakers; their distinguishing feature was their belief in and practice of celibacy and the renunciation of reproduction, which meant that Shakers relied on adoption, indenture, and recruitment of new converts to sustain their communities. Societal changes and a decreasing number of converts meant that their communal societies dwindled until only one remained by the 21st century (says AI)... unlike Quakers, who historically practiced marriage and procreation. In other words, Shakers practiced themselves out of existence LOL.

I wonder whether the shakers.decided to abandon celibacy because what I heard was when it comes to quakers practising Quakerism its when they get the shakers to shake all over them. 🤩

When a man and a woman have an argument, if one goes through what was said there will be some lessons in it in retrospect. That was quite the little hoedown for a couple days there when several women took it up with one man for purportedly saying the wrong thing. I thought they was going to lynch mob me for a moment there! Mind if I peel back the layers to see what is beneath?

I observed that women don't fight fair. They can be very vicious as you heard! Apparently they can't be trusted either. One of them said she would fix me a sandwich but it would have a secret ingredient and showed me turd emoji. I asked for a sandwich and she gave me a turd.

I'm sure all you women think that was cute and funny, but was it really? Or did that merely show the condition of her heart? I ran across this today as I was reading:

Matthew 25:35-40
35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’.../NKJV

I saw myself in that. I am the least of the brethren. I am a Brother in Christ to all of you people on this board. You are my Brothers & Sisters. I was told I was so bad that I would not be a member of this board for very long because of it! Remember?! so Most likely to be voted to be banned I am I am, lol. The least of the brethren.

Question? Inasmuch as I had been asking for a sandwich and was handed a turd emoji (a sandwich would have been just as easy to post.) instead, and I, the least of the brethren....is that the same thing as her serving Jesus a turd sandwich? Of course not really and I know that ok, just sayin, arent we supposed to treat everything we do as unto the Lord?

Colossians 3:23
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;.../KJV

I dont see any exceptions listed. So what can the way this young lady handled her situation? She doesn't fight fair!. She said she is not trustworthy! (secret, ingredient), does things on the sly (Let's hope she's more fair to her husband!) and if if the young lady Believer had been on her game and trying to emulate the Lord to everyone she missed the mark.

I understand I gave her a hard time. She took what I said personal (mistake) and asked me to reword it and basically apologize. I wasn't fond of her tone so I resisted! (LOL!!) and said, why should I? I don't know you and dont like your tone. Maybe after you've invited me over for dinner or at least made me a sandwich, to lighten the mood a little if possible?

I was on a different website one time arguing with a full blown pronounced Feminist who took me to task, Lol. I told her oh go make me a sandwich, as a retort and she sent me a digital sandwich and I got a kick out of that! She didnt send me a turd, lol. and even though we were arguing she did what she could with what was at her fingertips, which showed me that she believed in what she was saying and from the good side of her heart.

Getting a turd emoji tells me that came from the dark side of her heart. People must learn to fight from the good side of their heart. Scripture tells us to love everyone and if we have not charity we are nothing. Have you ever noticed that in general, people dont fight fair. They escalate too quickly. You see how people are in general to each other? Not very nice.

You can look in the OT and see how people treated their enemies in olden days. Wow what a difference. People treated their enemies better than modern man treats his friends usually.

Cont....

I hit send accidently. Ok but scripture tells us to love God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourself. . Those are not suggestions. They are commandments! So in a practical sense, we have to make an effort to operate from the good side of our heart. We all have the dark side of our heart and have all been taught well to fight and to hate. They didnt teach us how to love so it takes conscious effort! People in the OT used to treat their enemies with respect! Look at how Brothers & Sisters in Christ treat each other. We all have to make an effort to walk with a softer heart towards others. I've been trying to but I admit she got annoying to me!

I'm not trying to make the girl feel bad pr look bad, I'm looking for the lesson in what happened is all and I think it might be worth talking about?

lol it's mad in it, I don't know why the term Quakerism even exist do you lol.
Looking up the definition of "ism" will give you an idea besides offering a few synonyms with links to their corresponding definitions.

ism
[ˈɪz(ə)m]
noun
ism (noun)
isms (plural noun)
informal
  1. a distinctive practice, system, or philosophy, typically a political ideology or an artistic movement:
"he loathed isms and any form of dogma"

Yeah, we all saw the dumpster fire and how it went on and on and on. I certainly do not agree with things she said either and the poo sandwich was over the top. However, you have a tendency to try and blame women for their reactions to certain things you say and until you see that, you will continue to receive what you think is unfair and prejudicial treatment by women.

Examine your own heart before God. NO! REALLY! and maybe so should she, but you are here asking about it and that is my reply.

That would be a lesson I think you would do well to learn from. I do not see any need to delve deeply into what happened; it will just keep it going. I would hope you do not care to do that.

Further, you were not asking for a sandwich. Every person and especially every woman here, knows that. And so do you. Apologies all around would serve better.

So I live very close to a village where the Shakers used to be. It's a beautiful place to visit. But when they take you through the grounds on a tour they will show you where the men stayed and where the women stayed, and there was no "fraternizing" between the two. They will tell you that is not the reason there are no Shakers today. For some reason they don't like acknowledging that point. Either way whenever we have visitors that stay we take them to visit where the Shakers lived. You can watch reenactors make brooms and quilts and such. You can attend a church service where they will dance and show you how the Shakers worshiped. It's all very interesting.

I read once that President Nixon was a Shaker.
I saw that he was listed among the "famous Quakers" list, along with James Dean.

By the way, here is the type of inflammatory comment towards women I mean:

I observed that women don't fight fair. They can be very vicious as you heard! Apparently they can't be trusted either.

and then your comment on the sandwich follows. I don't know one single woman in the entire world that, having learned anything about men, would appreciate that comment. Sounds like your heart might have been kicked around some, but most people these days have those scars. You will never mend if that is how you think.

Many women say 'all men are the same' etc etc. Of course that is not true and by the same token, all women are not the same either.

Your sweeping statements about women can be viewed as taking a whiz on the whole bunch, and so you shouldn't be surprised and might even expect a turd sammich if you 'expect' one in the bunch to serve you, in kind.
