Remember Lot's wife

Genesis 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.

This is a statement, but without the facts and details we don't know why God says this.

Genesis 18:20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

What is this grievous sin that has reached God in heaven?

Genesis 19:4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. 9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

This is rape, fornication, abuse, and even abusing children as they are doing in public schools where they want to legalize castrating children without notifying the parents and indoctrinating them with this LGBTQ+ garbage. This is an evil riot at night like we saw with BLM and with the leftists. Yes, what we are seeing is exceeding wickedness and sinfulness which is what Sodom was. What we are seeing is a cry go up to heaven.

Why do you think they were so focused on these two visitors? They were trying to suppress the truth.

  • Romans 1:18:"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth".

I think that many Christians here love God with all their heart. I've been here on this site for 3 years now and it took me a while to know people.
Please realize that many Christians agree with each-other but how they express themselves may seem strange due to their upbringing, education, the place they grew up with and other hardships they may have had in life.
I see a lot of agreement but how people express themselves is where the communication gets blurry and frustrating for all who discuss any topic about the Bible or non-Biblical topics.

Charlie had the gift of communication at a young age and he took this gift right at the epicenters of leftists ideologies. Their schools.
They hated him for it because he was doing live debates on-air with no phones or internet and whose who are always angry were left in rage. But those who learned something, respected him as an opponent.
In the news on TV i saw people who debated him, in England i think, that they miss Charlie even as an opponent and said that violence is not acceptable.
People who say this are rare and right now we're past that because most act in rage so they will learn the hard way.

You know what, I will stop when the Bible stops.
  • Proverbs 11:21:"Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, "
  • Romans 1:18:"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth".
Deuteronomy 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. 17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. 18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. 21 The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. 22 The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. 23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. 24 The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 25 The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away. 27 The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28 The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. 30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. 31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. 32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand. 33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway: 34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 35 The Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. 36 The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. 37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the Lord shall lead thee. 38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. 39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. 41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. 42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. 43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. 44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: 46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever. 47 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. 49 The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: 51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. 52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. 53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: 54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: 55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. 56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, 57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. 58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God; 59 Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God. 63 And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. 64 And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. 65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 68 And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

Until then I will not shy away from sharing the full counsel of God

You have not taken the full council of God. The law does not apply as Jesus died for us and those who have accepted Him are not under law. This post is not the council of God. I hope you remember when God turns away as His word states he will because you rejoice in what is actually a very sad situation.

I totally understand. At a time like this we see what people have stored up in their hearts. God is being very generous to allow those who lie and mock to have the opportunity to experience their own treatment of others. But it is only for a time.

Speaking of Charlie Kirk, I doubt he would approve of enjoying the left being held accountable or 'Christians' rejoicing in that fact., while ignoring the fact that scripture warns against doing that very thing.

Consider and think about this, already the generations are turning on eachother and tried to use this to go after all their enemies. Killing the shooter will not alleviate this now, it will actually make it deeper, and there will be no going back.

On that day of judgment we will all stand before the Lord. One will look at the sin they committed and be ashamed while another will be ashamed of the sin they committed. It's easy enough to look at someone else and point out their sins but best to remember we stand in the same line and that vengeance belongs to God. There's forgiveness of sin for those who ask and none of us know who will or when in their life they will ask. We could take it upon our own selves to exact Gods judgment but then never know if at one point in time they may have fell on their knees and ask that forgiveness if we had not took it upon ourselves to cut off that path.

There's a subtle distinction between rejoicing over a defeated enemy, and rejoicing for your victory. In an ideal world you wouldn't even have enemies, let alone defeat them; or as in the case of David, kill them.

The idea isn't to gloat over a fallen adversary; but it is fine to rejoice that their wicked deeds will be no more.

So you want to put the shooter back on the street, because you forgive him??

I find it incredible that you would react that way and say that. Nowhere did I say to let him go free, but this kind of shows how people will read things into scripture, regular news postings, and their own pastors sermons.

And then think of something so out of the ballpark that you kind of wonder if they even really were paying attention.

Ultimately God knows everyone's heart. so what may appear outwardly as 'rejoice' a wise Christian uses that to make the other side to repent and of course there will be those who will never repent. Until the end.
This is true.

Amen. This is a prayer of David:

Psalm 10:2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

Seriously!?! If your son commits homicide, justice must be served! If you hide him then you are an accomplice in the crime.
Psalm 10:13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

The wicked feel they will not be held accountable for their actions.

Psalm 11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

We are not ignorant of Satan's devices, that is the point of these threads, to educate us. We are well aware of how cancel culture has operated.

11:6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

Letting people know this is a warning, and pointing out when it takes place helps reenforce the warning. If the judgement on the wicked causes others to confess their sins, repent and turn to the Lord, that is a good thing.

My post was the word of God, your post was your opinion. Let the Lord judge.

You cannot USE God's word as your own personal tool. No, I posted scripture that you do not agree with it seems. You should be careful about telling God to judge.

17Do not gloat when your enemy falls,

and do not let your heart rejoice when he stumbles,

18or the LORD will see and disapprove,

and turn His wrath away from him. Proverbs 24

If you wish to quote the law, perhaps that is your preferred type of judging. I prefer the judgement of my Savior through whom all my sins are forgiven.

It seems to me that posting the law is contrary to the teaching in the NT. However, if a person judges others that way, they should not be surprised when they receive the same.

I am saddened that this thread had gone the way it has. Posting videos of the faces of angry people is the opposite of what Charlie Kirk would have done. Do we see the antics of some on the left being dealt with? Yes and that is a good thing.

BUT

It is only for a time and perhaps remember my saying so. I'm going to leave the thread because I do not care for what it seems to be turning in to. Thanks

Proverbs 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

I am not rejoicing and I do not view these ones as my enemy.

18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

What I am doing is speaking the word of God that we are held accountable for our actions, I am warning people of the perils involved in following these people, I am helping some to see God in what is happening because God is known by the judgement which He executeth. I did not execute this judgement, I did not file a complaint about a single person to get them fired or cause harm to any of them. I am using the current events as an opportunity to speak the word of God. Just like Charlie Kirk advised the 14 year old kid. I am reading the word of God, I am doing what it says and I am telling others what the word of God says.

  • Romans 1:18:"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth".
I am not telling you what to post, what to say, but you are trying to suppress the truth in this matter.

I think this is part that i mentioned about how people express themselves.
Personally i don't put The Jewish Laws first. I put the teachings of Christ.
Then what may appear as "judging" is a way to teach a person to learn the hard way so they can repent. This is what has happened with Kirk's death. Many people are using this event to come to Christ and to be strong against the Evil.
Also personally i don't even have a gun in a culture where guns are used as birthday gifts. So that's why i say 'God know the heart" and the Spirit can use a wise Christian to make others realize of their un-Godly ways to change their ways.

Ya sure?
David prayed THIS prayer about his enemies:
Psalm 139
9 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!...

But there's also this -

Prov 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
18 Or the Lord will see it and be displeased,
And turn His anger away from him.

I rejoice when justice is done here on earth. For instance, a criminal terrorizes people for years, gets away with it, but is finally caught and prosecuted. I rejoice because they can't terrorize anyone else, and I rejoice because I hate evil and wicked behavior.

That's different from gloating, which is more of an arrogant, smug response and superior attitude. That's what I see Prov 24 addressing -

Gloating: Showing excessive pleasure or satisfaction at your own success or at another's failure, often in an arrogant or malicious way.

We can hate evil, but we're still commanded to love our enemy no matter how difficult that is.

Prov 8:13 “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverted mouth, I hate."

Ps 97:10 Hate evil, you who love the Lord, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Again, idk you from the next person! Sadly, from what I’ve read from other posts, it’s a legit question. When people start calling the parents evil for turning their son over to the authority…. to me this mentality is upside down! They are calling “good” bad, and “bad” good……

And yes, I see people wresting Scripture all the time.
