Romans8-5-9.gif

Romans 8 v 5-9Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

Without Hope and without God:

Man has a will, of course, but this will exists only within the confines of his spiritual deadness. No one has a free will to choose the only true God, for all are, by nature, dead in sins, and need God to make them alive. God does this by grace alone for the people He chose before the world began. Being without hope means being without God. Being without God means there is nothing one can do. The promise of salvation is not made to those who choose Him, but only to those whom He has chosen.
** MDB **

It seems to me that Scripture tells us that natural man is without hope, unless he is brought near by the blood of Christ. That speaks volumes for God's Grace and makes man's freewill worth less than nothing for salvation purposes.

Eph 2:12-13
12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians ch 2 v 14

out of the whole cc forum there is only 4 people in this thread who are probably only worth loving being there enemy they are @cv5 @Blue155 @Genez @Bible_Highlighter

I believe they could be your friend when it suits to be m

That's the code of free will, to suit your self when you want

And to have a bible called a yourself bible

To suit yourself when you want?

The soldier who jumps upon a grenade thrown at his troop took the impact to save other lives.
That took free will to do.
A very noble free will.

All you seem to dwell upon is the free will of selfish people.
Time for you to grow up, sir.

Is that why FWers call God unfair and say He is an unjust tyrannical monster kidnapping
and raping people against their free will? All while pretending to defend His character?

Quite disgusting, actually, how easily and frequently FWers blaspheme Him.
Ahhhh no. No we do not.
Those are your conclusions, per your dogma, made abundantly clear time and time again.

Nehemiah 9 v 6 plus John 1:3 You alone are the LORD. You created the heavens, the highest heavens with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to all things, and the host of heaven worships You. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.

Debunked.

How about it @OLDBUTNEW

Do you see his mercy working upon them and in them in the old testament

Old testament

Does his mercy work here upon them and in them

Deuteronomy 7

New International Version

Driving Out the Nations
7 When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations—the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you— 2 and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally.[a] Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. 3 Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, 4 for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you. 5 This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles[b] and burn their idols in the fire. 6 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
7 The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. 8 But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments

When examined logically against the revealed written Holy Word of God, free will theology falls flat on its face.
Flesh cannot please God by choosing to believe what it opposes with its incurably wicked heart that hates God.

But FWers refuse to acknowledge what the Bible says on this and related
matters. They insist that the natural man can do what Scripture says he cannot.

They do not seem bothered in the least to ignore, contradict, and outright deny so much of what is written.
You don't seem bothered by your own nature and disposition to ceaselessly dispense venomous diatribes upon the supposedly unsaved and pronounce doom upon every Tom, Dick and Harry much either......

Right. Calvinists have a completely different god than the God of the Bible. Their god doesn’t desire salvation for all men. Their god has people be born with a reprobate mind. Their god handpicks who will respond and who will not without any choice of the individual. Their god irresistibly gets people, without giving people the freedom or will to genuinely be able to choose.

I have thought about this so many times while reading things on this thread, I am glad you wrote it out.

Yes when I write about Calvin's god I try to remember to use a small "g"

It impossible to blaspheme a god who only exists in the doctrine of Calvinism.

Keep in mind.
The God of the Arminians has his problems too.

Neither can not reconcile how God can be omniscient, and yet have things turn out the way we see them.

Its fine to admit you can not explain how something you believe in, is so.
Its when you become dogmatic without wisdom that problems arise.

Yet, the Bible declares otherwise, conclusively, by many ways and means, in copious quantity and ineffable quality.
