Nah. It's just that breaking into a LOT of Windows vaults at the same time is so much more profitable than breaking into each Linux vault one at a time. Why do one Linux computer when the same effort will get you every Windows "we're all clones" computers at once?

But yeah, there is also the fact that a Linux user probably won't have anything they want... at least not want bad enough to break into each computer as a separate effort.

What would REALLY actually happen: Nobody cares what is on a crypto nerd's computer.
 
Also, these days I would be hard pressed to find that wrench for five bucks.

It booted up saying Windows Xp. But it says this after it got up and running. So yeah.... lol

Yeah, no, that won't be any good these days. Surprised it was able to run a display at all on a graphics card it has never seen.

What is it using, VESA driver?

Using Linux Mint 20.3 xfce, I just popped the old BART PE CD into the DVD-RW drive and ran it through Virtualbox. lol I don't currently have it running, so I can't tell you which driver it was using.

The reality is though that to keep M$ secure online then you need to learn how to keep it secure correct? Which means going through the same bag of tricks as with Linux correct?

Except that it is a much bigger bag with many more hoops to jump through and larger holes to have to seal up... :censored:

In order for Windows 11 to be secure it needs special processors of a specific generation, and TPM 2.0.

lol, and Linux is free,,,while M$ cost a lot of money,, and whats wrong with free popcorn? Here here's some FREE M$ popcorn,,, If any of you still have an Windows ME restoration disc,,,pop it in and after it begins reformatting take the power plug and plug it in and out real fast(make it think the lights are going on and off) then watch it. It thinks the lights went off and caused an error and go's into repair mode and after about 24 hours o so builds an OS and searches for and repairs any errors it finds(what better reason is there for ending Windows ME than no more way to make $ right?)

Again though Flatpac is to so you have a more secure experience and that's what your trying to fix right? Not meaning this as sarcasm but it's the same tail we are all chasing. In the end I still like surfing from a USB OS but that's not for everyone if they need to save things to drive...
 
I tried Fedora XFCE because I like the XFCE desktop. The XFCE one is not a distro that I can just jump into. Tomorrow I might try installing Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-35-1.2, that would be more like the one guy in the video was using. I'm curious to see if it's as good as He claims.
 
Linux is like shopping for a vehicle some need a car that gets good gas mileage others need a truck to haul stuff. I need this and you need that. Anyway if your gonna do gaming,,,search for a distro aimed at gaming. If your gonna mine Crypto look for something designed around that. There's an OS aimed at business,one for someone hopping from M$ to Linux,,,one that's good for music,photos(list goes on and on),,,,that's the thing about Linux in that your looking for an OS built around what YOUR going to use it for,,,

I agree. But I've been looking for a replacement for Mint.
