    Understanding the Incarnation

Sorry, but it's all about semantics. Before the Incarnation, He was called "the Word". After the Incarnation, Gabriel said to CALL Him "Jesus" and "the Son of God". Jesus, the God-Man, did NOT exist pre-Incarnation. Jesus, the God-Man, did exist after His ascension.

    Understanding God’s election

YES! ... This is the crux of the whole matter: God chooses to bless (save) some, while leaving the rest to their own devices and suffer the justice of God. As the OP explains ... God has His reasons for blessing (saving) some of fallen humanity. #1 it shows His mercy and grace (unmerited favor)...

    Understanding the Incarnation

Scripture makes it clear that both the Holy Spirit and the Word played their part in the "creation" or "forming" of the Baby Jesus! You are failing to understand, and/or refusing to believe, several key verses in Matthew, Luke, and John.

    Understanding God’s election

Years ago, I met a young Christian lady (with a Masters degree) who said she could NOT love a God ... who would take her mother to heaven, but send her father to hell. We just must take God at His word. He blesses those He wishes to, and He leaves the rest to their own devices. The OP explains...

    Understanding God’s election

Jesus wants EVERYONE to be evangelized because the elect are in this group. News Flash ... The elect need to hear the Gospel, so they can respond to it. We are talking about HOW and WHY people respond with belief. E.G. After God opened Lydia's heart, she responded with belief. Second News...

    Understanding the Incarnation

Let’s investigate and see if we can possibly get a solid understanding of the Incarnation (birth) of Jesus Christ. You will see below … In the beginning, the Members of the Holy Trinity were God the Father, God the Word, and God the Holy Spirit. Many churches teach that the Son of God (Jesus...

    Understanding God’s election

That's the whole point of the OP, isn't it! Man is totally unable to believe in Jesus and the Gospel. Like Lydia in Acts 16:14, man needs God to give the necessary faith. But, He choose who to give it to, and who not to give it, as Romans 9 especially teaches us.

    Understanding God’s election

I thought God's grace means His UNMERITED FAVOR. But, thanks for the new definition!

    Understanding God’s election

If you are correct ... God would be bound to accept anyone who chose to accept Jesus! IMO ... the "anyone"s who believe have been given the necessary faith to believe, as explained in the OP. God repeats in Romans 9 that ... He blesses whomever He chooses to bless and He curses all those He...

    Understanding God’s election

What do you think about Lydia's experience as commented on in the OP? She needed God to open her heart to the truth of God's Gospel, etc.

    Understanding God’s election

I have not swamped the OP with a lot of Scripture quotations, but hopefully you will recall the NT verses which confirm the following … Man is doubly incapable of believing in Jesus and the Gospel 1 – Because of the disobedience (sin) of Adam and Eve, all humans are born with an inherited...
