If sin is not imputed without the law, how can some claim that babies and children die because Adam's sin is imputed to them?

sure it does. Waw-conjunctive may also be used or omitted between two verbs. In imperative sentences such as "sit and wait" the use of the waw between the two verbs is particularly common in maskilic literature, but there are no clear cut semantic considerations regulating the use of vav...

    Who is Elihu?

Elihu is angered by people justifying themselves before men at God's expense, and making accusations even while they fully know they have found no fault. so is God: Luke 16:15 He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly...

If sin is not imputed without the law, how can some claim that babies and children die because Adam's sin is imputed to them?

try, "over the surface of the waters" and "let the dry land appear" notice the command is that the dry land appear, not be created. that creation is already from verse 1 water is formless, but takes on whatever the form forces applied to it describe. and void refers to there being no life...

    Who is Elihu?

actully God lambasts Job with question after questioned designed to humiliate him. for example: Job 38:21 Do you know it, because you were born then, or because the number of your days is great? not just questions that Job obviously can't answer, but biting, sarcastic criticism of the posture...

    Who is Elihu?

i agree. Elihu was angry because Job justified himself instead of God, and God seems to be of the same mind Job 40:2 Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him? He who rebukes God, let him answer it. Job 40:8 Would you indeed annul My judgment? Would you condemn Me that you may...

    Who is Elihu?

Matthew 21:12-13, Mark 11:15-18 in the same way Christ was angered by the buying and selling of salvation with money, Elihu is angered by the argument of buying and selling salvation with works, and he overturn the tables. all of the OT is testimony of Christ. if you look for Him, He is...

If sin is not imputed without the law, how can some claim that babies and children die because Adam's sin is imputed to them?

something that does not exist cannot be described as having qualities like formlessness and emptiness. if it doesn't exist, it had no qualities at all. But Genesis 1:2 describes the earth covered with water

If sin is not imputed without the law, how can some claim that babies and children die because Adam's sin is imputed to them?

Genesis 1:1 involves the creation of the earth. God Himself in Job 38 says the angels were present observing the creation of the earth. so it isn't clear why you would say there is no 'Biblically factual' basis for what is plainly stated in scripture.

    Who is Elihu?

Elihu actually says several times he is there to justify Job, to act as a mediator for him before God, just like Christ who meditates for us and justified us. and he introduces himself humbly, saying he has waited respectfully because Job and his friends are older and wiser, and calls them all...

    Who is Elihu?

nope. i suggested that was equally valid as your interpretation that Elihu was destroyed by a whirlwind. if the fact a passage exists describing a whirlwind destroying people means Elihu was destroyed, then the fact that a passage also exists describing a person being taken up to heaven with...

    Who is Elihu?

what makes you think Elihu is referring to himself in 36:4? from 36:5 through all of chapter 37 he speaks of God, saying He does not take His eye off of them, just as in 34:21 when he has previously said God sees all that all men do. in fact you already saw the evidence of this in 37:16 - -...
