    Oh goody another OSAS thread!

You are saying believers are not children of God. You call eternal security a "false cult". Ignoring plenty of Scriptures that disagree with you. Yes I know what it means to depart from the path of righteousness - that's why I'm replying to you. If you think the path of righteousness is your own...

    Oh goody another OSAS thread!

A changed nature leads to following Him. Our original design was to follow Him, but the lies of the enemy deceived us. But Christ sets us free and God's ways are best. God changes our heart and over time our behavior follows suit. There is a process of discipleship in this, which is why Paul...

"The Lord will not love those who accuse His children of not believing in him." Isn't this EXACTLY what you're doing?

He changes our heart to desire His ways. We love Him because He loved us first.

    Oh goody another OSAS thread!

You obviously don't want to discuss Scriptures that disagree with your POV. And you're ignoring several points I've made. So, I'll bow out of this conversation with you.

That would mean: 1) We don't become a new creation. 2) We will get eternal life, we don't "have" eternal life. 3) We aren't truly dead to the old man and alive to the new man. The truth that we become a new creation, we die to ourselves and are reborn in Him, have passed from death into life...

So hell is worse off for people who were once saved? Is that what you really believe? Sounds like a new doctrine I wasn't aware of. Got 2 more Scriptures for this?

    Oh goody another OSAS thread!

Please notice it says, "they", not "we". It's written about those who were close, but didn't believe Jesus for their salvation. I believe the reason they are worse off is because if they didn't believe now, it's more difficult for them to come to saving knowledge because of "familiarity bias"...

    The love of money.

Cool so give it all to the poor. Point is people love to say other people love money and completely have the blinders on to their own choices. Not "loving money" is just under what they are willing to give. Me asking for money isn't a serious spiritual mistake at all. I could use it for a lot of...

Most of these are taken out of context, but there is far more Scriptures that speak of our eternal security. What about ignoring those?

I agree 100%. Paul even says, that the smaller "hidden" body parts deserve more glory. I have found that God is faithful to give to those who desires higher gifts, but this doesn't mean anyone is better than another. It's actually, imo, that the one with who desires gifts desires to have more to...

    The love of money.

I love these posts. Those who don't want their money can send it to me. Message me for my PayPal. I have yet to have any takers, does this mean that they love their money? ;)

The Scripture you are quoting is James 2:17. Looking at chapter 1,2 and the context, which works would you agree James is discussing here?

    Not By Works

Fear of losing our salvation doesn't produce love. It is those who have been fully forgiven who fully love. And the good works that are so loudly being declared as necessary is love in all its forms. It is a strange thing to me that those who want people to have good works, come against freedom...

"God who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, Romans 2:6-8" This...

    Baptism and holy spirit

It is praying in tongues. Read through the ENTIRE chapter. And look at this verse in context. Paul is explaining pursuing love and spiritual gifts. Praying in tongues is through the Spirit. Not through the mind. This is why Paul says he will pray with both his spirit and his mind. You say...

    Baptism and holy spirit

1 Co 12 is about our needing one another. It's not disqualifying people from higher gifts. Paul concludes this, by saying earnestly desire the higher spiritual gifts. The focus of this is that we understand that is the Lord who is behind it all. People take these Scriptures and say well I don't...

    Baptism and holy spirit

Scripture says to earnestly desire spiritual gifts. I have found that many people don’t desire them, not sure why, but when I read Paul said ask for prophesy, I did. And suddenly I started to see it manifest. I’ve seen people healed, saved, and set free from the power of the Spirit revealed...

    Baptism and holy spirit

Ephesians tells us that the five-fold is for equipping, they equip people to follow after their own pattern and to grow in Christ. They have a grace that is imparted on others. I have found this grace releases both the desire and the equipment to follow Christ in the way they do.
