Was a day 24 hours in the beginning?

Welcome to CC... FYI, the leap year has nothing to do with the length of days, but rather with the length of a lap of the earth around the sun. It isn't 365 years, but (close to) 365 and 1/4 days. Those 1/4 days are handled with the leap day every fourth year.

Was a day 24 hours in the beginning?

    Where is that in Scripture?

Christian tithing was started by the Roman Catholic Church

Yes, but according to Scripture it should come from the congregation's voluntary contributions, not mandated submission of resources. Tithing was only ever voluntary in the case of Abram. Under the Law (under which Malachi wrote his work), it was compulsory.

"And God said, Let us make man..."

Hello and welcome to CC, Craig. :) FYI, there are creation apologists with far better reputations than that of Kent Hovind; he is a convicted criminal.

    Well played. ;)

How long is a "day" in God's realm?

The problem is that science has largely been infected with anti-theistic naturalism resulting in interpretations of the observed world that are contradictory to the revealed word of God. Evolution (naturalistic macroevolution) depends on assumptions that are outside of science. They are...

Why would I try to defend claims I haven't made?

    The Narrow Road=Saying Goodbye

I agree that you may need to walk away from a romantic relationship (or potential thereof) where the other person is not a believer. I don't believe you need to walk away from other kinds of relationships simply for the same reason. We are called to be salt and light in the world, not to avoid...

Why is God's Name NOT in the Bible?

Of what Bible? The HEBREW Bible, like I said. However, since you want to use the KJV, here it is: Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. 2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. 3 Defend the poor and...

Pre trib doctrine REPEAT OF of the 12 spies

The passage you cited from Ezekiel 13 is much more clear in the NASB, NIV, or ESV than it is in the KJV. As for the latter part of my post, it appears that you are promoting the idea that Ezekiel 13 has yet to be fulfilled. Is that what you believe?

Pre trib doctrine REPEAT OF of the 12 spies

Thank you, yes. I am inclined to agree.

Pre trib doctrine REPEAT OF of the 12 spies

Not even remotely. It's talking about the abominable practices of witchcraft, which you might see if you used a modern translation instead of trying to wade through 16th-century middle English. Perhaps you should stop assuming that most OT prophecies have yet to be fulfilled. Apology accepted...

Pre trib doctrine REPEAT OF of the 12 spies

Because of the awkward phrasing of your question, it is impossible to determine whether you think the rapture would be precious in God's sight. Instead of "Let us pray", how about "YOU explain"? No, it doesn't. You see a connection that I don't, and you are not spelling it out in plain...

Why is God's Name NOT in the Bible?

"The Gods Must Be Crazy". It was filmed in South Africa and Namibia, and starred a member of the San people, who are colloquially known as "Bushmen".

Why is God's Name NOT in the Bible?

While that is a convenient correlation, the word "elohim" is also used of other entities. See my previous post. :)

Why is God's Name NOT in the Bible?

"Elohim" has several meanings in the OT, one of which is "gods". Instead of throwing shade at the NIV, perhaps you should study the Hebrew of Psalm 82:1 and 6, and of 1 Samuel 28:11-14.

Christian tithing was started by the Roman Catholic Church

It's unfortunate that the source does not provide the definition it employed for "tithe" and "tithing". Without it, the stats are just numbers.

Christian tithing was started by the Roman Catholic Church

Only in your mind; it certainly isn't in the text of Scripture. And other offerings, which you have "conveniently" overlooked. Through voluntary offerings, not through mandatory tithes. More braying. Correlation... between OT voluntary offerings and NT voluntary offerings. Still more...
