What is the point in being a prophet?

Read your own post again. There's an IF in there. Three, actually. Consider the implications of those two little letters, and then re-read my previous post.

What is the point in being a prophet?

Getting a divorce that doesn’t have scriptural warrant does not result in being unsaved.

What is the point in being a prophet?

It looks a little ridiculous when you yell at someone who hasn’t been around for seven years.

Did I blaspheme against the Holy Ghost?

So the answer is No. :) God knows how your brain works, or doesn’t. He is not perturbed by random expressions of a dysfunctional brain. Don’t let the enemy sow doubt in your life. Trust in Jesus, and if this happens again, just reaffirm your faith in Jesus afterwards… preferably out loud.

Wow... that's some profound misrepresentation of Scripture.

And so, the unmerry-go-round continues. smh…

    The subject of Divorced Christians

Yeah... but I find that it's best to operate from a position of God's truth rather than the world's. :)

Your comment is both factually incorrect and thoroughly inappropriate. Dying to yourself is completely distinct to "dissolving oneself in God". Though its teaching may contain a few snippets of valid wisdom, Buddhism is not truth.

Except when you can’t demonstrate that Scripture says what you say it says. That’s a Buddhist concept, not a biblical one.

… and here I thought you wanted to discuss Christian practice, not Catholic practice.

Positions? Let’s get to discussing your claim… if you can provide Scripture to support it.

I’m not being a snowflake at all. I’m just not going to waste time discussing your silly accusations.

    True gospel

You claimed that private ownership arises from a lack of love. The verses you cite don’t support your claim, so my question stands: where does Scripture teach that private ownership arises from a lack of love?

    True gospel

Yawn. If you want to discuss Scripture, I'm in. If you want to engage in childish finger-pointing, I'll just make popcorn and watch the show.

    Where is that in Scripture?

    The subject of Divorced Christians

One can make a case from Scripture both that you are free to remarry and that you are still bound to your ex-spouse. You have to sort it out for yourself by doing the homework. The clearest situation is where you were faithful but your ex cheated.

    True gospel

I read through all of Niki7's posts on this thread, and don't consider a single one "rude" let alone "very rude", so methinks you have a perception problem: anything other than wholehearted embracing of your ideas is offensive to you. Entitled millennial snowflakes have the same attitude...

    True gospel

While those verses in isolation may suggest a simple form of communal ownership of goods (which is not "communism", by the way!), Peter's question to Ananias in Acts 5:4 refutes that idea. Private ownership of goods was still practiced and affirmed. Paul refutes it further when he asks Timothy...

    The subject of Divorced Christians

There are many previously-divorced folks here. By the way, divorce is an event, not a status.
