Your claim of 7,000 prophets is highly questionable; the text doesn’t say that. The word ‘prophets’ is not in that verse. It is far more likely that the Lord was meaning 7,000 regular people. At any given time in Israel’s history, there were probably no more than a few dozen genuine prophets.

I don't worry too much about doctrinal distinctives, but I don't accept that certain CoC views are sound according to the full counsel of Scripture. I was more pointing out that the OP claimed to have come to his own conclusions, which just happen to align with CoC dogma.

There's more to this passage than the text itself would tell you. However, in order to understand it, the reader must lay aside his or her existing conclusions and prepare to work through some moral and doctrinal indignation.
