Unfortunately your idea os simply incorrect. The sun’s apparent size changes because of reference information. The sun (and moon) look huge when there is abundant foreground data such as at rise/set. It has nothing to do with refraction.

I guess you have never seen the sun’s reflection on a corrugated metal roof.

Cherry-picking specific memes doesn’t make a sound argument. Try reproducing the photos anywhere except in the polar regions.

Please, folks, the word is Affect. The word Effect, when used as a verb means ‘bring about’. Sin does not ‘bring about’ salvation!
