    The Gospels and the Mystery

Taken in totality and in context, Pauls writings harmonize with the entire body of Scripture. I’m sorry you have a low view of the Bible.

    The Gospels and the Mystery

Peter disagrees with you. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to...

    The Gospels and the Mystery

The Jewish history is long and rich. Maybe I should have phrased it differently. Genesis revealed that a Savior would be involved at some point in history. Even Jesus said that those looking through the OT looking for salvation, missed the mark, for the Scriptures revealed Him. The Jews were so...

    The Gospels and the Mystery

The Jews looked forward to a Savior, we look backwards to our Savior.

Did Jesus Die on The Cross for The Just/Elect/Saved Whose Names Are Written in The Book of Life OR

Same here, it was a simple misunderstanding, I have an habit of extreme succinctness, which can be misconstrued. Isa. 42:6- “I am the Lord. I have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will hold you by your hand. I will watch over you, and I will appoint you to be a covenant for the people...

Did Jesus Die on The Cross for The Just/Elect/Saved Whose Names Are Written in The Book of Life OR

It’s only possible when we are “Filled” with the Holy Spirit. I don’t think we are commanded to be saved, however, after salvation we are commanded to be filled with His Spirit.

Did Jesus Die on The Cross for The Just/Elect/Saved Whose Names Are Written in The Book of Life OR

I didn’t say who did it apply to, I ask, “Who was it given to.” The Israelites were to be a bright burning candle of righteousness to the pagans. They were to live according to those laws and to model a lifestyle that would cause envy amongst the world. In other words, they were to evangelize...

Did Jesus Die on The Cross for The Just/Elect/Saved Whose Names Are Written in The Book of Life OR

Reading any verse of Scripture without context is what leads to heresy. If it was as simple as a command, the Law would have been sufficient.

Did Jesus Die on The Cross for The Just/Elect/Saved Whose Names Are Written in The Book of Life OR

I always viewed 1 Jn 3:23 in the context of a command to believers, not unbelievers.

There is an infinite number of options if one runs with it. These seem to me the clearest two. It ain't complicated, we just tend to make it so.

    Speak Your Mind.

That’s a wide paintbrush. I’m sure if you would just take a deep breath and introduce yourself, there might still be some hope of a fruitful exchange. How long have you known God?

Well, you gave it your best shot. Not every throw rings the basket. Maybe try being more gentle with those pearls, instead of using a slingshot.

May I ask why you have to be pried to express your conclusions?

Did Jesus Die on The Cross for The Just/Elect/Saved Whose Names Are Written in The Book of Life OR

If Jesus paid the price for all sin, with one exception, then sin doesn’t seem like the basis for eternal damnation. Yet Scripture says that all will not be saved. So there must be more to it. That is the 64 dollar question that divides so many religions. Either we are all saved, or there...
