Whats the weather like where you are?

It's 0 c (32 f) here in the cornfield of Indiana. Dark, damp and overcast but not terrible for this time of year. (Hurry spring).

    How Green was my Valley

I thought "Crawdads" had the potential to be a really phenomenal work but the explicit sex brought it down. The problem is, this was all so unnecessary. Love can be a significant part of the plot, it has been in most profound works; but it can also be included without the more base elements...

    How Green was my Valley

I know you are correct, it's just such a sad statement of where we are as a society.

    How Green was my Valley

The past few years have been spent reading some pretty heavy stuff. I decided to lighten it up a little and read something more modern, up to date and “pop”. I carefully chose two books that sounded promising, Where the Crawdad Sing by Delia Owens and The Horse Whisper by Nicholas Evans. Both...

    Final Generation

I love your post and agree...please do not take this as wrong....but why do you put satan's return in future tense, "will appear"? Is it possible that he "has appeared"? Isreal has been a nation for 74 years...the stage has been set. IMHO

What is a life well lived?

"The purpose of man is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever." Westminster Short Catechism O God, be Thou exalted over my possessions. Nothing of earth’s treasures seem dear unto me if only thou art glorified in my life. Be Thou exalted over my friendships. I am determined that Thou...

Questioning myself and if I'm religious

If you go to a church and do not feel instantly welcome and at home, smile, speak softly, leave and try another. There are some really great churches out there, filled with true people. When you fine one you will know it was well worth the small effort. You will recognize the right one the...

    Hmmm

Yup....fully understand. About the time I get frustrated here, someone unexpected (and sometimes less involved) will post something truly beautiful and profound. Those unexpected moments outshine some of the darkness.

    Promises of the Covenant

I should have been more specific, I was actually referencing the last line, it's a powerful statement either way and my impression is flippant at best. I love poetic works that make me think and this measures up. For me "sandy grain" works best. I believe that entire entire stanza works as...

    Quantum theory proves the afterlife

It is my understanding that quantum theory now postulates at least 10 dimensions of reality, maybe more. Nothing negates faith but it is sure interesting to think about.

    Promises of the Covenant

Thought provoking and impressive. This is a joy to read, thank you for posting. Maybe "of" in place of "for" but I am surely NOT making a correction, just an impression. Great stuff!

    Quantum theory proves the afterlife

One of the best books I have found about the afterlife is D'souza's Life After Death. He made very similar argument.

    The blood cries out...

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.” “You shall not murder.” The Lord said, “…Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.” “Anyone who takes the life of a human being is to be put to death.”...

    Christian Festivals

I know it is not now seen as a religious holiday, but it originally was celebrated as one. Thanksgiving is by far my favorite!
