I am a Seventh Day Adventist, Ask Me.

Of course you can post freely, I just tell you I think it is discourteous to go off topic. I am no boss and I am not willing to fight with you or anything, yes I revived a thread, but the topic is quite clear "I am Adventist, ask me", so this is not hard to see what is on topic or off topic...

I am a Seventh Day Adventist, Ask Me.

🤔 Interesting discussion, but no question here 🤔 since this is a "ask me" thread, this discussion is quite off topic 😅 but you are welcome to ask any question or start any new thread :-)

Hi, In the context, clearly "in Christ" is the keyword. All that sleep in Christ will be made alive in Christ. 1Co 15:17-22 KJV 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life...

I am a Seventh Day Adventist, Ask Me.

I see no question here 🤔 Still, this is a thread to ask questions to Adventists. If you have stuff to say, there are other threads out there 👀

Sorry, I realize that what I said was not clear. Yes, this passage is about marriage and not primarily about diet. Sorry for not saying that clearly. The point I make is about the principles upon which Jesus teach here. If we apply these principles to diet, it should lead us to plant based diet.

Short version : yes as SDA we believe Jesus resurrected on Sunday morning. (I can dig on the day of crucifixion if you will, you can just ask :) ) Longer version : The earthquake and the rolling of the stone closing the tomb happened clearly on Sunday morning, a little bit before dawn. Mat...

Well, it means that the punishment inflected is forever, you don't get out of it. This is eternal death : no way out, for ever and ever they will be punished by death. By the way, this text opposes life to punishment, which supports the fact that the wicked will not have eternal life. They...

Hum, the specific answers to these questions have been given back in 2011, and I think I mostly agree with everything said back then :-)

Happy anniversary! 😀 Praise for Lord for love and family 🙌 thank you for sharing. The simple answer would be : If this is lawful and customary in your country to get married like that, there is no problem in doing so. If this is not customary neither lawful, then it is not an actual marriage...

Yes we go to church on Saturday because we believe this is the sabbath day. Oh sorry for making so many assumptions. To answer quickly, I would say no to both questions. In itself, there is no sin in going to church on Sunday, there is no Bible basis or Adventist belief that opposes that...

Hi! Nice to see that you are open to listen to preachers from a denomination you are not a part of :-) this kind of mentality is very important to grow in brotherly love I believe :-) Adventists do not perform any secular labor on Sabbath (Saturday). However, being a physician, I may have to...

I am a Seventh Day Adventist, Ask Me.

Eh, no, sorry, there is no mention of the head of the family in the text, so I am not saying that. The teaching given here, I believe, is in reference to the influence you may have on your family, bringing them to put their faith also in Jesus and this allow them to be saved. You could be a...

I am a Seventh Day Adventist, Ask Me.

Hum... We believe that the condamnation of God at the judgment day, sometimes referred as "hell", is eternal, you don't get out of it, but you die, and you die there forever. Therefore, we do not believe that people will live to suffer forever in hell. This is why we usually answer "no" to your...

I am a Seventh Day Adventist, Ask Me.

Do you actually have any question? If you already know our teachings, then you can open your own thread about "what Adventists believe according to me" but here we can talk for ourselves. I disagree with your message, since my answer is totally in line with Ellen White teachings and the...

I think I see the point, but I'm not here to defend my opinion, I just want to answer questions :) I don't want to tell you "I think you are wrong because such and such" but just to help you understand my view if you are interested :)

Well... This is a big topic. TDLR : Jesus explained that we may not have exactly his lifestyle, and that it is best to come back to the lifestyle he had given Adam and Eve, which was plants. Therefore, SDA promote plant based diet, but do not enforce it on believers. Longer version : But I...

    So scared

Hum .. I don't think it is selfish to say that pets from Christians may have a special status, since we are saved with our families whenever it is possible, it makes sense to think it applies to our pets too. Act 16:31 31- They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you...
