Yes, I was surprised because I had had deer meat before and it was enough for me. But it was surprisingly good. I'm not a big fan of fish but I think a lot of that is because people don't know how to cook it properly. In fact a lot of restaurants don't know how to fix it properly.
Sadly true. Even some restaurants that make their identity all about fish don't know how to cook it right. Just because the name is Catfish Palace doesn't mean they have a good cook.

The problem is when you find one where they do cook it right, and you start recommending that place to your friends, the next day the cook quits and they hire a hash slinger replacement. Then all your friends think you have a tin palette.

Lol, true, I've had that happen before. I have a cousin on my father's side that supplies fresh fish to Red Lobster here in the US. When we visited he put on a feast of lobster, shrimp, crab and other fish. I have no idea how much it cost. I couldn't help but think what it would taste like once the restaurants got hold of it. I find they tend to over season the food, perhaps to make up for the fact that they don't know how to prepare it.

I've always preferred things a bit on the cooler side, so I am definitely not one who cranks up the heat. If it is about 60 degrees in a room, then, personally, I am fine. Of course, if others are present, then I need to consider their preferences as well.

When it is time for bed, I definitely grab a blanket while ignoring the thermostat. I sleep so much better in cooler temperatures, and I have a hard time sleeping in the Summer without air conditioning or a good fan.

Also, I prefer dressing in layers when I go out in the cold. Usually, a hoodie with a not-too-heavy jacket on top of it in case I begin to feel as if I am melting . I think that I might be part snowman Pink Cowgirl Shirt, and I wish that this bunny rabbit would stop nibbling on my nose as I type.
In most cases, adding more layers gives you finer control and better results: layered clothing traps warm air without overheating, and in printing or coatings, multiple thin layers bond more evenly and reduce warping or cracks. Cranking more heat can be tempting for quick results, but it often brings side effects like uneven performance, damage to materials, or wasted energy.

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

I didn't expect anybody to applly a manufacturing spin on this topic, but you're right. :sneaky:

It's that time of year again. Time for everything to freeze, including us.

I have observed there are two kinds of people. Those who deal with cold by putting on more layers and those who deal with it by cranking the heat up.

So which are you?

Do you hibernate under a mound of blankets? Or do you crank up the heat and walk around in a T-shirt?

Either way, what are your extremes? If you're the kind to cover up, how low do you let it go before you finally turn on the heat? If you're the kind to crank it up, how high do you let it fly?
I'm married. Guess who controls the thermostat.

Definitely more heat so i can stay with shorts in the house while outside there's a blizzard and my house is buried in snow.
Also when i go to Florida during the summer (yes, DURING the summer) my wife and i go walking outside in like 100 degree weather and all the people from the cars with their AC on are looking at us ... probably thinking "these dammed tourists again".

If I happen to have a burst of insanity that takes me into florida, and I see you walking around in 100 plus degree weather, I will think you are a local, not a tourist. I, as a visitor, will be one of the ones in air conditioning at all times.

That's what i thought too, but the locals don't get out either.
It was only me and my wife walking the streets for Ft. Lauderlade at 3PM on foot. Nobody was walking on foot.

So like I was saying, about that burst of insanity...

I understand. I am in the minority and i'm perfectly comfortable.
Almost 90% of people in the north east don't like the heat. My perfect climate would be more like Arizona but if i wanted to live in a dessert i'd move to Sahara dessert.
☺️

It used to be that I thought I preferred winter weather to the heat of summer. Perhaps this is due to my experience with heat exhaustion as a teen in the Yuma desert.
Now, with a few more years under my belt, I have come to realize the I just dislike extremes, in heat and in cold.
The Kingdom is like that, not hot, not cold. Praise God, amen.
