I'll be honest, I and many others learned that from God without ever studying the ancient Biblical languages. You have to give God more credit than what you're currently giving Him.

🤔

Learned what from God?

And I didn't learn it first. It happened to me by accident, then found the teaching after.

Well I thought Id give you the opportunity to prove to me reading the greek helped one to understand the message better

If we don't get pisteuo right, nothing else matters. GOD, His word, and the promises in His word aren't ours to claim without fulfilling pisteuo correctly.

Pistis is the noun, it's the corresponding verb pisteuo that your not understanding.

Pisteuo, the Greek word that couldn't be translated into the English language because the English language doesn't have a corresponding verb to the noun Faith?

Pisteuo, where the translators chose the words believe, believer, and believing, 248 times in the NT.

The Greek doesn't have those words in their language.

I can keep going. Do you think doing a little work to find this stuff out adds to grace also?

It might be easier to look at a verse without "pistis" or "pisteuo".

Romans 10:13
For “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Do you believe that anyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved?

Will the verse above fit straight into your definition of 'pisteuo'?

You seem to be on a good path right now. We're never done being perfected.
The most important thing, in my view, is we get on our knees, and humbly ask God to show us spiritual truth as we read His word, via the Holy Spirit. People who do that, will always know, far more of what is really important, than those who rely on themselves to learn, armed with the greek, hebrew, or Aramaic texts and a vast amount of theological books and concordances such as strongs

Pisteuo isn't in that verse.

If your talking about the word "call" in that verse, it's epikaleomai in the Greek. It means to call for aid, worship, testimony, or decisions., not eternal life.

Your playing with fire.

Sounds as if your inserting the word "me" and "fulfilling" into the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Look at my fulfillment of the gospel, Lord.

Look at my active faith.

Was it not I that was obedient to your words?

It is all about my response the the gospel that matters.

I hear what your saying watchman22.

And if thats what your doing, getting on your knees and asking for spiritual truths, I could argue thats happening as we speak.

The texts for me at least are validation. Like someone speaking in tongues and someone else translates.

Try to keep your eyes and ears on the message, not the messenger.

  • Active Reliance: It describes an act of faith and dependence, where the person recognizes their need
  • for salvation and asks for it from the Lord.
  • "The Name" as Identity: To call on the "name" of the Lord is to call upon the person of Jesus Himself,
  • embodying all of His character, authority, and power. (Google)

It's basically understanding,
No correct faithing, no spirit of Christ.
No Spirit of Christ, we're none of His.
If were none of His, His word and promises can't be ours.
Rom. 8:9

So now Google is the datum?
You need to call all the Greek Bible schools and let them know.

Try to keep your eyes and ears on the message, not the messenger.

That's what the message is (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) is saying, the good news.

Our salvation is a free gift never earned by some extended version of "faith" or "trust" or "belief".

1 Corinthians 2:2
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

That's it in a nut shell and nothing more or less for salvation.

What the traditional Christian schools, Catholic, Orthodox, Reformer, Church of England, and Protestant?

They all follow the same story book and the storybook was dead wrong.
