That's what I was thinking of, yes.

They wanted to call fire down on people they didn't like, and Jesus called them the sons of thunder. Don't tell me God doesn't have a sense of humor.
He sure does. I'm trying imagine it.

I was spared because of a promise from above
And received a lot of care and love.
But was I thankful for this?
No, I had a serpent’s hiss.
My reign began faithfully,
But it ended ungratefully.

Satan...

OR

Cleopatra.

Everything fits Moses except the last line. Even the serpents showed up in the wilderness.
No, Mose did not turn into an ungrateful evil person. The hiss is there in the riddle to show who he was following.

Solomon maybe

Maybe Pharoah of the exodus

Maybe king manasseh

None of those fit exactly though

THANK you!

If even cinder can't think of a single Bible character it exactly fits, I feel much better about not getting it on the first try.

Nope, none of them. When you think about the right person, everything will fit exactly.
If cinder didn't get it, nobody is gonna get it. Just tell us.

Or not. But waiting won't get a correct answer. All of BDF won't help if cinder didn't know it.

I tested this with two 18-year-old boys. They solved it very quickly, without using a computer nor a phone. It ultimately comes down to how well you know the Old Testament.

I will give one more hint: it is a king found in the Books of Chronicles.

We're not invested enough in the game to dig through 1&2 chronicles. I'm barely invested enough to go dig up my kings of israel and judah cheat sheet and that says that the most likely candidates are : Jehoshaphat (he did have that promise from above going for him), Joash, amaziah, azariah, or Jotham and about the only ones of those I can tell you anything about are joash and jehoshaphat. Is it possible you study the kings more in Finland than we do here in the US? One thing I have learned is that implying that those who engage with you and can't figure out your riddle are stupid or inferior is going to make people stop engaging with you realy quickly.
