Protestantism is an outdated monicker. It might have been useful during the renaissance, but unless you live in a state controlled, or heavily influenced by the catholic church, it really doesn't matter. Few people emphasize the "Catholic vs. Protestant" dichotomy anymore... it's mostly just catholics, who are in a round about way asking "do you still deny my authority?" To, which most "protestants" would be like "Who are you again?"

This is a more appropriate teaching

Systematic theology basically leads to the bible becoming coherent

And Systematic theology is based on questions coming out of scripture, where through out the ages Systematic theology
has made people understand the coherence of the word is fully coherent when we understand his word in it's entirety. ,🙂

Reformed theology is also Catholic funny enough 🤩

Coherent?
You mean how every single one of them build their theology on the mistranslated words believe, believer, and believing?

It's Coherent only in respect to the wide path that Jesus warned us about.

Exactly. The moniker makes no sense.

no no no, systematic theology being on the bases of one theology being questioned by another through the ages by people who have come to grow in coherence, in a spiritual sense, especially those who have grown in the lord.

Symptomatic theology can also be considered evangelical.

Which funny enough along with reformed theology can also be considered Catholic. 🤩

The speaker understands saving faith to be an unmerited gift, like us acknowledging where not worthy, where as he points out saving Grace must include merit by other beliefs.
Without putting words into Watchman22's mouth, he believes there is a hidden meaning of πιστεύω (the Greek word for believe/trust/rely on) that has been lost in translation because the English language does not have a verbal form of the English word faith. When you drill down on his complaint, it turns out his doctrine on salvation basically revolves around living a life inspired by one's commitment to serve God as Lord. In my view, this basically puts him in the "salvation by merit" category. Perhaps he could offer explanations as to why my view is eroneous.

Now, during these Final Events, of Bible Prophecy, becoming "Present Truth" as it does for those who believe our Lord Savior & King Jesus. Modern man is blinded, deceived and ignorant of what the Protestant Reformation was all about. They are blissfully, returning to the "mother church" as Rome has said they would.. Ignorant of their returning to the Anti-Christ, as ALL the original Protestant Reformers proclaimed her as the Whore of Babylon

... learning "The Truth" about what & WHO the Spirit of Antichrist is in the world, these past 2000+ literal years, as all the original Protestant Reformers taught, and how I had been deceived, by "believing" the apostate Protestant Futurist / Dispensational theology, that has taken over the world these past couple hundred, End Time Years, as Jesus said it would.

During the last days of Earth’s history, there will be a rise in false religions, false prophets, and the man of lawlessness. Here below are key Bible verses that speak to this theme:

well where does that put us in having assurance ?

We should look into our church fathers understandings, and the speaker in this thread fully understood greek

Augustine the church father of our reformed faith said I was saved after I headed the call.

Which means whilst he was in a call of being in a spiritual calling as in the light awakening his heart, at that moment he made a spiritual decision, understanding that,

He was made spiritualy alive in a temporal state. And then took heed of call.

The understanding here is that everyone goes through this process.

Such as Augustine John Calvin Luther, and rc Sproul the speaker in this thread believed every living being is blessed with common grace first, such as the ability to to do many things.

I'm talking about both the Reformers and Catholics.

They both think saving faith is "believing " in Gods word, and it's not! And though Gods word can be a part of the faith life , after the spirit abides in a mature saint, if it's available to them, it will never start and fulfill the mandatory preconditions that are required to receive the spirit of Christ.

Your debating things and putting wording on things that don't matter if you don't first fulfill the simple precondition of faith, a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender.

You don't even acknowledge the true meaning of faith and faithing exists yet, am I wrong?

Your fighting others who are in the same boat you are. Time to wake up Jordan, time is getting short.

Your focused on the symptoms, not the real problem!

so I never just replied to your post here straight away, and gave it some thought before replying.

And the question is.

All we have to question is faith founded by Catholics.

So why should protesting theology be seen as the whore of babylon

Btw protesting means also questioning theology

faiths themselves are not directly called protestant are they. There spilt into many denominations, protesting simply means to question theology, because questions come out of scripture

You can't label them protestant as you are.

How does that personal surrender come about is the question.

Is it done in a state of spiritual awakening, first. ?

So whilst your in a state a temporal state of spiritual awakening, is it only them you can make a spiritual decision to love his son.

I'm protesting this chorizo and egg burrito I just ate. I think the tortilla was exprired....
This discussion you can quote humour if you want, but at the same time I would like it to be taken seriously.

God commands that also, that you take his word seriously.

Not that I'm suggesting you don't but I'm asking nicely.

Now the fruits of the spirit is love.

Do I have to love to get more grace, or do you think love would come naturally

incidentally a view from Catholic faith from priests is you can will another person to love

What's the real problem

You didn't even look at the rediscovering pisteuo thread did you.

I watched all the videos you put up some of them twice. You would think you would reciprocate a little.

Your question, "what's the real problem " tells me your not even reading my posts either.

If you want to keep this one in a million chance you have here alive, you better start asking the right questions, or I'm moving on.

I'm not a member of the reformed movement. And I'm not sure what you are ferring to when you ask "where does that put us". What is "that"?
