Same goes for Greenland. I don’t think he nor his highly qualified Secretary of War understands what a quagmire really is before they try their luck up there. In comparison, Venezuela is a walk in the park. Well, at least there will not be many soldiers coming home in coffins because they will never be located in the snow, steep valleys and the mountains. But I’m sure the Secretary of War has made a bulletproof risk analysis for the future campaign.😂

I don't know about future campaigns; all I know is the Donald promised no more long, drawn-out occupations in foreign countries and just like that, here we are. I don't know what anyone else calls it, I call it bait and switch.
 
It's not about keeping the US safe, it's about fulfilling Donald's imperialistic ambitions.

Well looking past our efforts to ship Galadriel with Hegseth and the development of her crush, I'd like to point out my boy the gigantic hispanic gigachad par excellence Marco Rubio. Already by comparison of other Secretaries of State Rubio has already reached and surpassed Kissinger, if America buys Greenland Rubio will ascend to Seward's level straight up. Seward was also kinda ridiculed by the myopic, the wicked, and the fools of his day too for similar positions and thinking as the Trump Cabinet and Rubio's State Department. Seward was a genius though and super prescient, a strong leader in the abolition movement against slavery was his start in politics and his biggest achievement the purchase of Alaska was even called in his day "Seward's Folley", so many myopic and also just evil people hated and ridiculed him in his day for these things even though we now know Seward was absoutely right and like way ahead of his time. My boy Seward had the last laugh and proved to be a visionary, one of the top 3 most powerful minds to ever be Secretary of State. If Rubio gets me Greenland he automatically reaches Seward's level in the top tier of all-time Secretary of State with a real shot to be number one. You notice Hegseth and Rubio work closely together too, that great triumvirate synergy of Vance-Hegseth-Rubio that has the potential to become the foundation stone of continuity for the positive side of things on the GOP post-Trump where any one of the three would make an acceptable President and by keeping the band together be able to lead effectively..

I don't know if it's been said (I don't have time to read all the comments), but the US already has a military base in Greenland (Thule Air Base) and it's been there since the 50s. I think any changes to Greenland's government would be done diplomatically.
