But it is not only hiding from it that produces blindness, but also:
Rebelling against Him. Or not obey Him. Or not believing Him. Or not putting your trust in Him. And so on and so forth.

How many more hundreds of examples do you need for you to abandon Reformed super-determinism?

yep as I said many times and backed up with scripture, the father willed there hearts to believe, they failed the inner fiery enabling test,


the light of the gospel was hidden from them, because the father did this

Amen. Our sin does not consist of just having a wrong opinion. Our error emanates from a prideful desire to rule our own soul and until we come into repentance we believe we can do it without His help.

Evidently, Calvinist congregations disallow the use of lexicons, concordances, word studies etc. lest the glorious light of the gospel truth should shine unto them.

Quite similar to the ignorance (leading to blindness) that the JW leadership demands of their herd.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Make that make sense. No, come to think of it don't bother. It would be a waste of my time to review and correct the reply.
 
Hello folks.

You are very attended to discussions of this or that regarding theologically details. Sometimes these discussions reminds me of a friend of mine, collecting stamps. He was a "stamp nerd". For some reason, he was obsessed with stamps from the 1950ths from Hungary. Please don't ask me why. So maybe you might be a "theologically nerd" or something like that, collecting theological arguments of this or that, possibly into eternety. Just asking.

Interesting for the interested ones; but please, there's one thing I just don't understand.

And that is: Why don't you flag an image of you, so we can see your face? I have no problem showing my face (ref my profile picture), so why do you not show yourself?

Maybe I'm just a naive north-European, or maybe I'm kinda stupid who doesn't follow the normes of modern life of 2025, maybe I'm still living in 2012 or something.

Just asking. I rest my case.

The gospel is hidden to the lost and they will not believe, the god of this world has blinded their minds. Until they are saved from that, they cant believe. Neither can their so called freewill help them.

I think he actually believes the gospel is hidden, but many unbelievers have heard the gospel and understand it intellectually. They simply don't understand it spiritually.

You conveniently forget that it was this very same prophet who told the Israelites that they would not be able to serve the Lord (v. 19)!

What part of not able can't you understand? Have you lost your eyesight because the evil one has blinded you?
