1-Corinthians11.gif

1 Corinthians 11 v 19

John 8:34: "everyone who sins is a slave to sin," and Romans 6:18, 22: believers are "set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life"

So in your book the Son doesn't set you free, He just turns you into a different type of slave?

OK.
No problem to find support in the Scripture of whatever your viewpoint is. See that.

I appreciate your devoteness. You go deep. May the Force be with you.

Well, they completely miss the point or lie deliberately. I think it is six of one and half a dozen of
the other served up with a rotten attitude from both of them. Those learning from the Father are
not in a natural state. You would think they may have picked up on this by now, but no. It is asking
too much, apparently. Their complete lack of understanding what Scripture plainly says? Yikes.

1Corinthians2-14.png

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians ch 2 v 14

Both @Rufus and @BillyBob said they learnt from the Father prior to the new birth so they were definitely in the natural state. What they did not know was who was leading them, all they knew was they liked what they saw, although they had times when it was not all they preferred.

It is not until after the new birth did they discern the spiritual quality of the teaching which, is exactly what we tried to tell you lot in regards to 1Cor.2:14.

There are moral issues to deal with as well as spiritual which is why the natural man can understand what he needs to hear and accept the Gospel.

Well, you asked why. The Scriptures say why. I have multiple verses that support my view. Those who disagree have exactly
zero. And it is not like atheists agree on everything, or scientists, or anybody else for that matter. Politics, anyone?

Are you from Canada ?

OK thanx !!

Yes I am from Norway. What have you heard of Norway? Nothing og positive or negative or .... ?
Here is a post I made a while back about some of the foreign shows I have enjoyed

Currently, I am watching not a movie, but a mini-series called The Golden Hour, which has to do
with terrorist attacks in the Netherlands. Netflix has quite a few foreign offerings available, and
generally speaking, I find I quite like a lot from places like Belgium (Rough Diamonds), Iceland
(Trapped, and Entrapped [English follow-up], plus, The Valhalla Murders (Norway, Sweden) Young Wallender,
Switzerland (Audrey), Netherlands (The Golden Hour), Denmark (Borgen), Germany (Dark), Finland (Deadwind).

Etc. I have seen all those. Many are murder/mystery type cop shows. All bolded titles are links to imdb.

There was also Shetland, from Scotland, an excellent series.

I liked the main actress in Deadwind so much that I used her in one of my panels ,:D

I appreciate your answer.
Just one final question from Norway:
Why are you always adding so much images to your requests here? I see you love magenta, your images +++

but why? Boosting your arguments with magenta images does not make your arguments stronger.

Magenta:

by the way: you from BC ?
Not originally. I was born and raised in Ontario and then hitch-hiked out west forty-eight (yikes) years ago with two friends.

Last time I hitch-hiked heh. Anyways, been here pretty much ever since. Life's been good to me so far.

How about you?

There is a wide variety of opinions on my art. Some like, some not so much. Some see much value
in it, others none. One guy told me my panels burned his eyeballs. I think he might have a demon.

My professional life has dealt with images for close to fifty years. It is like an off shoot of that, me doing
what I know how to do, and being creative. I payed guitar for many years also... But I do have a passion
for Scripture, and also for art. Sometimes it is just to supply the verse under discussion.

How about you?

If you look closely to the image of my profile, you will see me and the scenery of Lofoten, Norway.
I am a kind of wanderer, living several places in Norway during life. I have undergone a wandering
both in physical ways and mental ways in my life.

I have a son, he is 19 now. I am divorced. Besides: I am an agnostic.
Ok, this may sound like a Tinder profile, but is is not. I just want to talk to people.
And I like talking to you Magenta.

Marriage and divorce are sometimes somewhat hot topics over in the singles forum. I do not have a lot to say
on either, though I am sorry you went through the suffering entailed in separation and divorce. I hope your
son is a major blessing in your life. When I had my daughter I was going through hell. But she sure is a blessing
in my life! She is pretty much twice the age of your son...

Thank you for your concern Magenta.
I can fully state that my son is a true blessing in my life. Without him, my life would have been pretty bleach I think. Much to say about that, but enough for now.

I am happy to hear that your daughter is a blessing in your life!

Yes, thank you, and likewise glad to hear of your son being a blessing in your life also. Her dad and I split
when she was quite young, after I'd had a couple of miscarriages and a still birth. That added to the difficulty
of my life then, but most of all that is so far behind me it is like it happened to another person. I was also lost
then. I know you are an agnostic. I was never an atheist or agnostic. I was a very spiritual person, repulsed by
organized religion as many unbelievers are. I spoke for years to unbelievers on other sites before joining here,
some of them I remember quite fondly. One such once told me that "spiritual" was a soggy cabbage of a word LOL.
I was hoping to encourage them to seek but they (generally speaking) would claim nobody looks for things they
do not believe to be in existence. However, nobody is without excuse. Seeking is strongly recommended.

Thank you for your reply.
First of all: Ok, I am agnostic, but I still believe in an existance after death. I have some experiences....

Then:
I sense that you are a very spiritual person. And a warm person.
Take care of the ones in your life. Love them, care for them, do as Jesus would do.

Thank you, and you know (of course you don't lol but I am going to tell you haha) earlier today or yesterday how many
many people hope for or believe in the afterlife
was on my mind, and Scripture says, God placed eternity in our hearts.

So it is no wonder we wander there in our musings on life and death, and all that encompasses.

I would love to hear some of your experiences.

I just passed the 33 year anniversary of a near death encounter I had when someone very close to me passed away. God
was very present in my life then and very much on my mind, but I was not a believer yet. People say He moves in mysterious
ways and surely that is the truth even though there is no verse that says exactly that. His ways are not our ways. Truth.
