There are many questions about how exactly to walk out the Torah that would come up naturally for a naturally for a nation that has decided to put it into practice, which is why Moses got swamped with questions and had to set up a system of judges. In Deuteronomy 17:8-13, it gives authority to priests and judges to make rulings about how to obey the Torah that the community was obligated to obey, which got down orally as traditions and case law that eventually became codified in the Talmud. In Matthew 23:1-4, Jesus recognized that the scribes and Pharisees had this authority by saying that they sit in the Seat of Moses and by instructing his followers to do and observe all that they said. I didn’t say either that we can’t really rely on the Talmud or that it should be given the benefit of the doubt, but rather I am trying to help you understand it for what it is. Pirkei Avot is similar to Proverbs and is something that Christians could benefit from, so it would be good to read some of it and try to understand it for what it is rather than quote mining. Christians commonly believe in the concept of soulmates, so there is nothing about it that suggests that it is worshipping Lucifer, dark magic, or fellowship with darkness.

I, like many pre-trib Christians, began to get excited about the possibility that this year’s appointed feasts could be the days we have been waiting for. I was working through my rapture remorse by spending time studying the Scriptures.

While rereading Revelation I stumbled over the phrase “synagogue of Satan” in verses 9 of both Chapters 2 and 3. “Those who claim to be Jews but are not,” is all that is really said about them. My daughter just married a Jewish Christian who attends a non-messianic reformed Jewish synagogue, so I stumbled pretty hard on these verses. I prayed for an answer to what this phrase meant and soon thereafter got more than I bargained for. I learned there is actually a large sect of Judaism whose deity is Lucifer.

Apparently, some of the ancient Israelites brought knowledge of the Egyptian pantheon with them when Moses led them out of captivity. Later, in the Babylonian captivity, they learned a few new tricks from the heathens there. It turns out, when Jesus was calling the Pharisees a “brood of snakes” and accused them of doing the will of their father the devil (John 8:44), He wasn’t just being figurative. It turns out Stephen even called them out (Acts 7:43) while they were stoning him, by quoting Amos 5:26-27. He mentioned their idols and the Star of Remphan they had taken up. It was never David’s Star.

I always thought Jews were just God’s chosen people who hadn’t turned the page from Malachi to Matthew yet, sort of Christians minus Christ. I thought as you do only two months ago. Read my post. Since then I have read books, listened to testimonies, criticized theorists I thought were crazy until they made sense. Check out Kabbala Secrets Christians Need to Know by Deanne Loper. I am not finished with it but I weep for Israel over it, and it makes me sick. I know not every Jews is a Kabbalist. What I also know is more people you and I have trusted or even revered actually are!
