Have you never read the story of the 2 goats🐐🐐 that God instructed Aaron? If you do understand, you would know all other denominations is false teaching.

@CS1, I’m not going to continue discussing this back and forth. You’re not gonna change mine and I’m not gonna change yours. I’m not going to talk to someone who accuses of interpreting the Bible from human emotions. If I was interpreting it from human emotions, instead of basing it off of the word of God (which I did) I would either be saying “that’s not fair for so and so” or “what about so and so who is in this situation?” or “what about their children?” or “I felt it in my soul!”

I would be arguing from emotions if I said those things, but nowhere in my post did I do that. So, your argument against me falls flat.

Goodbye now.

That is a pretty bold statement. Especially considering God is the only one who knows with certainly whose actions are authentic.
I don't think so. Simply look at the example of Gideon, who twice sought verification from God that it was really He. Jesus tells Christians to be as shrewd as serpents. If God really does give someone today the gift of speaking in tongues, and that someone insists on using that gift in the body (i.e. the church), then God will provide people to interpret - and all should be independently scrutinised. Those who won't submit to scrutiny, or who fail the tests, should remain quiet in the church. If the leadership of that church does any less, they are failing to adequately protect the people God has placed in their care.

The enemy would like nothing more than to discredit the truth. And attempting to ascertain what is and is not true outside of the bible is not using wisdom.
This is something we agree on. But remember, the truth does not fear investigation - the lie does. Those who truly can speak in tongues would not hesitate to take some independent tests that they can do so (i.e. with two interpreters, each providing an interpretation for assessment independent of the other), prior to speaking in tongues in church - if these gifts really are legitimate.

Correct. Today’s “tongue-speaking” is jibber jabber. That’s not what speaking in tongues was in the first century.

Well, SIT was described as unlearned earthly languages in Acts 2:1-12 (although some ascribed it to being drunk), but later cases
of SIT in Acts 10:46 & 19:6 were not clearly described.

In 1Cor. 12:10, 28-30 & 14:5-19 SIT apparently required the gift of interpretation in order to be understood,
so perhaps "jibber-jabber" or "babbling" would be fair/appropriate descriptions.

lol ok the fact is not what I said but what the three chapters say. Praying that you interpret is an instruction from the word of GOD and is also a gift that edifies others.
The person hearing the message spoken in tongues does not understand what has been spoken. (ie, no man understands) The Holy Spirit reveals the meaning of the message to the individual. The individual then shares what has been revealed and all are edified.
