The Recoilless rifle- quite the invention-
I have a case from one of the 50 cal spotter rounds, shorter than a Browning 50, developed to duplicate the recoilless rifle trajectory, the primer has a brass tube extending the ignition flame a couple inches forward, the charge will burn back to the base from the ignition point. That was an Elmer Keith idea and pretty secret in ww2.

He had to be mighty courageous to get anywhere near a tank. They not only had the heavy gun but an anti aircraft/personnel auto. I don't think there were many volunteers for the bazooka.
