JESUS did take our sins, but that is what HE did not what we have to do to take adavange of HIS work here on earth.
False. When He took away sins it was to the advantage of them for them He took them away. They are justified from all sin! They shall receive the knowledge of it by and through the Gospel

Ownership?

My post stands with your answer, Peter knew he was sent to them to show them how to be reborn.

They heard the message, received the Holy Ghost, he complete it by having them baptized.

Peter knew being baptized is a part of the rebirthing process sad so many don't.
Yes like a seal of identification. Peter when he saw it he knew they had the same salvation as the Jews Acts11:14-17

14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

False Cornelius was already a saved regenerated man, who worked righteousness and feared God. Peter was sent to instrcuct them in the Lord more perfectly.

False that's for practical instructions and discipleship, water baptism was. The spiritual preceded that. Peter was sent to tell him what to do. Acts 10:6

He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

That's discipleship not to be reborn, man is passive in new birth. He is active in discipleship

Is it a sign?

That your opinion unless you can back that up with HIS word?

Sad someone says that and so many people believe it.
In the OT, those who were under the law were required to be circumcised. In the NT we are no longer under the law. Do you see Christ asking for circumcision to continue? No, He askes that we be baptized. Baptism has replaced circumcision. And, if you look at Rom 4:11, you will find that it [circumcision] was a sign and a seal.

Yes, with WB replacing physical circumcision as the normative sign of SB or being sealed by the HS (Col. 2:11-12).

So,this woman wasn't Saved?
And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50 (NASB)

Acts 10:43 Cornelius wasn't Saved?

LOL, that was when JESUS was on this earth.

He is now in Heaven and left us insturtucions on how to be saved just like in Acts 10.

Yes, the message was given to the Gentles, JESUS filled them with the Holy Ghost and they were baptized so they were saved.[/QUOTE]

When Jesus was on the Earth he walked with his Disciples. They Baptized people. Jesus did not.

When Salvation is a free irrevocable grace gift of God(Jesus), it is contrary to the gifting to insist there is a mandate,Baptism, before it is received by the chosen one who is to receive that gift.

Jesus 👑 (God) delivered the Good News of Salvation. But he didn't Baptize anyone.

Baptism ,as was the case with John the Baptizer, was the Mikvah in Jewish tradition. A cleansing, a purification rite.

Salvation is a gift by the grace of God.
God knows it isn't a gift if you have to first be immersed to receive it.

Baptism symbolically buries us ,our old nature focused on the world and self, in memory of Christ. Who to the world appeared as an itinerate rabbi. A man.
Yet,unlike countless men crucified before him, he resurrected from death. He was Saved from the second death that formerly claimed many others.

He taught Salvation from death of the mortal flesh, and then proved there is life after when he walked what is called the Holy Land, for 40 days.
And his former enemies were none the wiser. Because they were unable to see him in his glorified body.

Readers here who may just be learning of our faith,do not be worried. If you are called to Zjesus, and believe in him with your whole heart, you are in his Saving grace. He knows your name. And your redemption from your former life, your sins,is irrevocable.(Cannot be cancelled or removed from you) ,because you are sealed by the Holy Spirit, which is God/Jesus. And your sins are under the shed blood of Jesus, who remembers them no more.

If you are not yet Baptized, don't worry. You are Saved as a gift by the grace of God.

Baptism is an outward sign, rite,of that inward change, rebirth.
You are immersed in the water. Just as you were immersed in the water of your mother's womb before you entered this fallen world.
Only this immersion ,when you go down in water, washes you clean and seals you for all time in that water of life, the Holy Spirit,Jesus the anointed(Christ).
That physical act, rite, is an outward sign of what has already occurred when you were called by God into his Salvation covenant.

Don't ever let anyone, any one, convince you that you are not in God's grace of his Salvation until you are physically immersed in water.

Jesus is the water of life. He is yours and you are his in eternal life. After this life and onto the next where there is no death. Because it is overcome.
No one will take you from Jesus.
Your Salvation in eternal life is just that. Eternal.

God loves you.🙏✝️ ❤️ Forever.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Keep reading Acts 2:39 - Peter is speaking to believers! It is not the water baptism that saves, but that of the promised Holy Spirit.

So what do you think of that verse?

Peter speaking to believers??? He is speaking to those who was responsible for putting JESUS on the cross.

As it says, being baptized in the way we get rid of our sins and has nothing to do with the Holy Ghost.

Need BOTH to be reborn.

Talking about the Holy Ghost, HAVE YOU recied the Holy Ghost since YOU HAVE BELIEVED?

Acts 19
King James Version
19 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

JESUS is the one who fills us, has HE filled you?

Don't follow your point. Do you understand the verses I posted - do you see the word "saved" in v5 - that salvation is solely by God and His mercy, and nothing of salvation is by us? It isn't complicated

So why would water baptism?

Huh?!...

[me] WB replaced physical circumcision as the normative sign of SB or being sealed by the HS (Col. 2:11-12).
[you] So did physical circumcision ever save anyone from their sin and Justified them before God?
[me] Not according to Paul in Romans 3-4 and Colossians 2:11-12.
[you] So why would water baptism?
[me] It wouldn't, just like PC didn't. WB is the NT sign or way of indicating SB, which IS salvific.

Glad we got THAT straight!
