Interesting argument. But I'd counter - did any of these ever describe the Earth as a ball? Also, some report extremely far reaching vision - which would be impossible on a curved Earth, given the curvature. I know all arguments could have counter spiritual explanations, but I've never read one where someone reports a ball-Earth.

Why would they need to say hey everybody the earth is a ball! When we all know that already and that's what they saw was what was expected so it's not noteworthy to recounts things that have nothing to do with what was going on. Oh, did I tell you my childhood friend that I lost track of years ago did not go with me when I was caught up in the Spirit with the Lord above the earth? Same thing. Why would I mention that? That isn't out of the ordinary for people to lose track of each other so why mention it?

If they who were taken up saw a flat earth, then that would be out of the ordinary and noteworthy! But not one voice has said it was flat during those testimonies where people were above the earth.

I watched the flat earth videos and read all about their proofs that they say proves the earth is flat. They can make it sound so plausible that it makes one wonder, what if?! That would be huge if earth was flat! Because we were all taught that it is round and I can see for myself...if the earth was really flat, then it would come out in someone's testimony about an encounter with the Lord. It hasn't been mentioned one time in testimony. Conclusion: Round!

Why would they need to say hey everybody the earth is a ball!
Because aliens don't make sense on a flat Earth. To get rid of belief in God, they will (try to) replace with aliens. But aliens do not make sense if Earth is flat. Aliens is clearly either (good) angels or demons (or fallen angels). I'm fairly sure its coming soon. When it does, try to envisage if people would be so accepting if they knew the Earth was flat.

The distance to the stars (i.e. time for starlight to reach Earth) is something most Creationists can't easily explain - if God created the Earth in 6 days, as He did, how are the stars millions of light years away? Easy to answer for Flat Earth Creationists, as there is no requirement for the stars to be so far. They're less than 1 light-day away, so the starlight would easily travel to Earth within the day without invoking any special theories about time or speed-of-light decay.

Depends which one you talk to, lol. I can explain it but it might be kind of deep for you. The scripture says that we see as through a glass darkly and the best way to explain that is, it's like looking through a telescope or binoculars, from the wrong end for us! Thru a dark glass, out of focus and blurry for us. God is at the other end and sees clearly.

I watched a very good teaching video on youtube and the pastor explained it all and even had the math and (which i don't remember) where it shows that we are early in the 7th day since creation and early on the 3rd day since Jesus was resurrected, and had plugged it into some sort of factor and multiplied it and it comes out to somewhere around 13.5 billion years for man to see looking back.

I forget the name of the video but it was the pastor from Cornerstone Fellowship on youtube, Pastor Allen Nolan. He has a lot of videos up and is an excellent teacher but I can't remember the name of that video dangit.

But scripture keeps talking about those with eyes to see and ears to hear, in a world filled with lies. So at some point we look and listen for ourselves. And I'm not seeing or hearing anyone say hey I saw a flat earth. Now that may not mean much to your mountain of evidence of flat earth but at the end of the day it means a lot to me to understand what it means that people do not say it is round or flat in testimonies. In one guys testimony he was taken up above the earth with Jesus. And Jesus spoke to him and was giving him instructions I think for some sort of task that the Lord wanted him to do, and he asked the Lord while they were above it, is that Latvia or Lithuania Lord? So they were above the earth and looking at the earth...and the guy didn't say, Hey and the Earth was Flat! So it's not flat. The New and Improved "Flat-Earthers" have been deceived to a rabbit hole of conspiracy because it is used as a distraction so people have anything to talk about except the Lord in these last days. Don't fall for it Brothers & Sisters so what if the Father of lies made up real good lies to make it sound scientifically possible? Lies are lies dont be distracted from the Lord.

Remember Peter when he was walking on water? The moment he looked away from Jesus to the waves and stuff, he started sinking. WHoops should remained focused on the Lord!

But, Brother, if we meet in Heaven and we have found out the truth that all that time the earth really was flat... We'll both laugh at the absurdity of anything less than the truth! At that point it'll be a moot point because if the earth is flat or not is not a salvific issue!

What difference would that make?

Two of the best known UFO researchers (Jacques Vallee, and J. Allen Hynek) who did not know each other both researched aliens and UFO's and they came to the same conclusion. That they were decidedly not alien but demonic.

Aliens already don't make sense. Start at Genesis 6 and read how the earth was before the flood. Fallen Angels had children with human women and so the offspring was a hybrid creature known as the Nephilim. 1/2 Angel and 1/2 human. They got so numerous and so evil that God said I must send a flood to destroy all these hybrid creatures and evil people. So he did, and when all of the hybrid Nephilim died in the flood they we not superhuman anymore. Without a body to live in they're pretty benign and can't do much. Scripture says the spirits wander in arid places so it's probably uncomfortable to be a dispossessed spirit, a spirit with a body.

When Jesus came what was it that He did the most of? Casting out evil spirits. That's where all the evil spirits and demons came from, dead Nephilim. If they had a body to possess they can do good for their master. But God punished the Angels who started this so severely that it frightened others and made them not want to do it. But they still wanted bodies for the nephilim to have, so what did they do? Cattle mutilations, usually drained completely of blood and different organs removed with surgical precision...What could all that mean? They have been making bodies in a lab genetically and gathering tissue needed to clone and so forth. I bet you didn't know that cattle blood is so similar to human blood that they used to use it in transfusions! And what's up with all those ufo abduction stories. The story is the same, the "aliens" diddle with their reproductive systems, both men and women. And that has to all be demonic loopholes. You know how an evil heart thinks, we've all had an evil heart at some time. God said Do Not Copulate with Earth Women Or Else! So they think they have loophole in genetics.

Hey if you think back to the early photos of aliens, those were the sucky early models so they must have played with combinations of man and animal to get bigger stringer bodies like a Sasquatch.

Man if a Sasquatch ever came at you hostilely it's David and Goliath time Brother!

No matter how much longer Jesus waits before he returns, this argument will still be going then.

You're exactly right Brother. As it was in the days of Noah...Hey I think I can prove the earth is flat!!! Meanwhile the rapture is quietly happening behind them...They next day many more may believe the earth is flat. Lol.

I used to be close buddies with a certain Brother in Christ until he got ahold of the flat earth idea. He went whole hog flat earther and spent hours educating me on flat earth. I didn't buy it and I think that means we're not buddies anymore because it's been a long time since I've heard from him now .

Yeah... If somebody stops talking to you because you refuse to believe what he believes, let him go. He doesn't want a friend, he wants a yes man.

Yeah I don't understand that.

I once knew a guy who believed you can't be a REAL Christian unless you believe Solomon is in hell. Note the past tense "knew." He didn't want to talk to us after he found out we believe "nobody can know that except God." He got all kinds of upset and left in huffs. He didn't just leave in a huff, he left in multiple huffs.

Philosophically, Big Bang, Evolution and Alien life don't make sense on a flat Earth.

A Flat Earth suggests a Heaven and an Earth, a Hell below, a hierarchy of spiritual beings below God the Creator as the ultimate in power and authority, and aligns with spiritual reality. Heliocentrism suggests an (almost) infinite universe with myriads of races of aliens which evolved over millions of years, and other dimensions, but without Creator or cause.

You might not understand it, but its the reason so many believe in aliens rather than demons, evolution rather than creation, and New Age rather than Christianity.

Also, and rather importantly, there's nothing in the bible that implies a ball-Earth over a flat Earth.

So what. We got bigger fish in the pan right now. What does it matter if it turns out to be flat after all? Nothing. Would it being a flat or round earth have anything that would change that Jesus came to a flat or round earth to die on the cross? Does it being round or flat change that Jesus resurrected after 3 days in Victory?!

Round or flat, if we go by God's clock (1 day=1000 years), then we are in the last hour of earth's existence. So whether it was on a flat earth doesn't matter. Scripture says I saw a new heavens and a new earth. I wonder if it will be round or flat? Lol.

Some people believe it's going to be a gigantic cube. No I'm not kidding.

I have reached the conclusion that the earth is a frying pan after a trip I made to AZ back in the day.

That, of course, is ridiculous. I know folks IRL - who I am convinced are true Christians - who do not want to make that leap of faith in believing what the Bible says about the earth. By no means does that mean that they are not true Christians. They are simply "happy where they are at" in the knowledge-of-the-truth area of their Christian walk - having no desire to grow in knowledge and understanding where the true nature of the world they live in is concerned.

Most of the [active] members of this site seem to be in this predicament.

Flat Earth folks need to always remember that everyone - Christians and others alike - have been so perpetually bombarded since birth with the Ball Earth theory to the point of experiencing severe cognitive dissonance when presented with the truth concerning the true nature of the creation of the earth. For whatever reason(s), they are simply not willing to let go of it so that their eyes may be opened so that they may see the truth.

However, at the same time...

What is really sad to see is that the majority of Christians are willing to defend-to-the-death the Ball Earth theory having never actually proven it to themselves with their own God-given senses and ability to think it through to a proper conclusion.

What is really sad to see is that the majority of Christians are not willing to believe the words "which deceiveth the whole world" in Revelation 12:9. Just because God is truly ultimately in control does not mean that the devil is not wreaking havoc upon the world - deceiving in every possible way.

What is really sad to see is that the majority of Christians are not able-or-willing to put aside all of the stuff that has been pushed on[to] them since birth and do a good-and-proper study of what the Bible says about the earth. If they did/could/would do that, they could/would discover that they have been lied to since birth concerning the true nature of the creation of the earth. (And, not to mention, other things as well.)

This is probably where the idea comes from whereby a Christian just cannot fathom why another Christian is not able-or-willing to see and understand what they can see and understand - to the point that they decide that the other Christian must not really be a real Christian. Only, they are overlooking the fact that even Christians may experience cognitive dissonance at times - until they are ready to put everything else aside and relieve their perplexity by placing the Word of God above and before all else.

in a roundabout, you are proving my point.

instead of saying " i believe the earth is flat, you do not. we can agree to disagree, be blessed in Christ", you say all this.
