Ok, let me be blunt— I’ve been attending church all my life and
I’ve never heard that comparison in sermons, or in Bible studies.
I’m completely stumped!?!

Oh OK. Well the basic gist is the 7 feasts foreshadow our lord's redemption from beginning to end. Instead of me typing it all out, you can read this explanation. There are many of these on the internet; I just picked this one at random

7 Feasts that Point to Christ Explained

Let us go back to our topic on this thread.

In the New Testament if Jesus is the real messenger as Son of the living God then the False Prophets are the Scribes & Pharisees.

With the revelation of Lord Jesus Christ about the characters of Scribes & Pharisees, false prophets might be exposed in our times.

There are many false teachers today and yesterday! You only need to read and learn His word in the NC/ NT to discern heresy. :)

They do come, with their wacky ideas, saying all Scripture is parables and claiming that Jesus is God the Father.

In other words, look in the mirror and see one.
Isaiah's prophecy in Isaiah 40:3 reveals exactly who would be introduced to the world: "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, (Lord in uppercase is always a reference to Almighty God) make straight in the desert a highway for our God." Isa. 40:3

John the Baptist fulfilled this prophecy when he introduced who? Jesus. Who according to Isaiah's prophecy is our God. (Matthew 3:1-12; Mark 1:1-8; Luke 3:1-20; John 1:19-28)

Scripture also reveals the Jesus is not a separate person of the Godhead but rather that the Godhead dwells in Jesus:
"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Col. 2:9-10

And, "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2 Cor. 5:19

Also, scripture reveals whose blood purchased those who make up the church:
"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." Acts 20:28

Conflating Jesus with God is biblically sound. Conflating Jesus with the Father is not.

Conflating Jesus with God is biblically sound. Conflating Jesus with the Father is not.

-My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one (meaning they agree as one; another scenario is husband and wife become one, even though they’re still 2 people) John 10:29–30

-Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, you are gods? If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You are blaspheming, because I said,
I am the Son of God?
John 10:34–36; Ps. 82:6

-of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is overall, the eternally blessed
God.
Amen. 9:5

-The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. Him God has exalted to His right hand (equal to God the Father)to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and
forgiveness of sins. 5: 30–31

Do you not see your point is debunked by all the scriptures you referenced?

The “Wackiness” seems to fall back on you!!

Who in the world said that Jesus is God the Father, and that all Scripture is parables?? lol

None of which actually make the two one. The only contending verse is John 10:30, which in context is addressing purpose and ability, not core identity. There are many more verses that distinguish them than appear to conflate them.

What are you exactly having a problem with? That is a pretty simple verse to understand.

If Jesus is the Father in every sense, He was praying to Himself in the garden, and cried out to Himself on the cross. That’s nonsensical.

Yes the version of Luke is more dangerous because it is specified the word MANY WILL COME.

How do we distinguish them according to Our Lord Jesus.
this is a good question and those who love the Lord and study his word will not be deceived. Here is the issue

1cor 2:11
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

Jeremiah 17:9-10

9The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,

Prov 4:23

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

we must GAURD OUR HEART

You have to continue to watch and verify the fruit of the person(s). The underline motives will be exposed. The Measuring rod is the word of God and the confirmation of what has been said comes to pass yet MORE importantly it must bring Glory to God not man. it must line up with HOIS word Not mans. There should not be a controlling spirit but one who has self-control. meekness, love joy and peace. One who teaches Christ and the lost desire him. The gospel that leads to repentance and surrender.

If they look like the world they are not of God. If they abandon Jesus and His Gospel, they are in error. If they deny Jesus is the only Way the only Truth, and the only Life they are Anti-Christ.

By understanding and discerning what is Truth, read Scripture…. If you never read His word then you can’t discern, for certain.

No, but ‘Godsgood’ did.

Ik I'm new, but this website isn’t the easiest to use. Lol

You basically said this to me as if I said it.

Am I to understand that you don’t even believe the husband and wife scenario? This is Scriptural!

It’s like everything I’m saying you don’t recognize coming from Scripture!

I said nothing about it at all.

You stated—

Meaning—- you were referring to the 2 examples that I gave. So you were negating both. (?)
