Wow, if God’s chosen people are not on this continent, Christianity must be void!?
You are judging a whole country full of people! Are you God, the Judge??

What an arrogant comment!! Who makes you Judge and jury over millions of people??

3. Again, all believers are in covenant with God through Jesus. However, not as a country, but worldwide as Jesus died and rose again to secure it for all who believe in Him. I have judged absolutely no one and your comments show some really bad comprehension and you have jumped to conclusions that frankly, I am not really sure how you even arrived at them.

Now some personal comments from me to you in response to your post.

You are the only one who judged, in this case me, and I think you might ask yourself why you are so angry and condemnatory and make ridiculous accusations such as I am judging an entire country (as if I could).

No arrogance on my part at all, but you might look in the mirror if you can be objective about my response which hopefully clears up your bad misunderstanding of what I said.

Any verse in the bible can be use for the Lord to talk to us so yes the old testament is also relevant even today. I think people that keep things purely in context often have little faith that all things are possible with God.

So when are you going to sacrifice for the atonement of your sins? ALL scripture is All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, II Tim. 3:16, BUT not all scripture applies to all people all the time.

NO ONE said the Old Testament is obsolete. No one.

I detest counterfeit Israel.

unbelieving, idolatrous Israel is exactly the Israel of the Scripture - - and we should be thankful, because if not for their falling, would Salvation have come to us?

but if they are not still His people, if He would forsake them, how could we ever have a Salvation that is sure? how could you ever trust to hold you, a God who would drop you like a stone the moment you falter?

it is unworthy sinners, not the righteous, for which Christ came and gave Himself

This has struck me so profoundly. This is wisdom. Seeing through it all....thank you.

This is apparently your answer to my question about what you meant by "First Testament," and whether it was the same as what most people refer to as the Old Testament. Sorry, but I don't see how your answer addresses that question.

I apologize. I answered your second question but not the first, let me be more specific.

I am not aware of any nation being in a covenant relationship with YHWH mentioned in the First Testament. And yes, by First Testament I am referring to the Jewish Tanakh. I have chosen as a personal preference not to use the words "Old Testament." I have no issue with those who do.

Excuse me?? This sounds pretty arrogant to me—-and I took offence to this—-

That doesn't compute. God has but one chosen people and they do not live on this continent. The USA is not God's chosen people. God is not in covenant with the US. Individually of course but that's all. Every promise in the OT is not for every person on earth. That is a conclusion that is not found in scripture but is taught in some circles.

Yes it seems biblical truth is beyond your understanding. I don't care how it sounds to you. I carefully and patiently explained to you why your outrageous post accusing me of nothing I did but apparently you thought I did was wrong and you come back with more of the same.

Of course you took offence. That suits you better it seems, than apologizing for your words that shriek of self righteousness. You are not defending any truth but some cultish and boorish behavior we all would do good to ignore.

My ignore is slowly growing.

Some things you’ve said, I agree with, and you backed it up with some Scripture, but you can also say things that are pretty twisted and bizarre, to say the least!!

So yes, I still say that statement was pretty goofy, arrogant…… I’ll leave it at that!
