i prefer eggs benedict, including smoked salmon & JBMRT coffee.

I swear…you are like my dad, when it comes to similar tastes, in just about everything lol

Me, personally…I’m not sure if I’ve tried eggs benedict or Jamaican blue mountain coffee. I love smoked salmon but I love raw salmon more…I’m not sure why…probably cause we went to the sushi bar almost once a week growing up.

Mom was born and raised in Hawaii, so we have eaten a lot of Japanese and home cooked Hawaiian food growing up.

wow, so neat. hawaii is my favorite vacation spot. i want to meet your dad in heaven! JBM Roast Theory is the best coffee on the planet. if you are in Manhattan, dine breakfast at Sara Beth's on 59th. then, right across the street, you can go for a carriage cruise in central park. the best i ever had. eggs benedict, spinach, bacon, smoked salmon.& they serve a huge portion. we're going to hawaii in 2027. i remember nick's fish market restaurant in hawaii, super great!

I absolutely love Hawaii. I’d love to retire there. My grandmother was a civil engineer at the marine base on Oahu. She literally lived like a block away from the beach in Waikiki. It was so much fun visiting her all the time. My aunt owns her condo now, I think but definitely would be nice to get a place on the north shore or on one of the other islands.

I went to Villa Park High School in Villa Park, California. All of my friends families were really well off, so I got to experience so many really cool things that a lot of people don’t get to experience in their life.

So I am very grateful for all of that.

Faith in God goes a long way…I’d say it can be really contagious.

My family didn’t even have a house between 1996 and 2014. We mostly lived in motels, apartments or with other people.

So God has been really good along the way.

Really shaped us.

BACON.....thick slab bacon. Probably some pancakes to go with. Made from sourdough starter. Sourdough pancakes make buttermilk taste like wannabes. Just saying....
Then jam, peach or grape jelly I put up myself. Maybe honey from a local beekeeper in my Sunday school class.

Just waiting on pecans this year.....

Coffee is a blend of yirgacheffe and Sumatra.

Blueberries have already played out this year.

I have never heard of anyone using sour dough for pancakes but sounds amazing

Oh I am NOT the one who invented this hunger trap.
But instead of discarding the portion of starter you just add flour, eggs, sugar, butter/fat/oil, and baking powder.....maybe a touch of vanilla. Then make pancakes.

For 1cup of starter I add:
1/4 c flour
2 eggs
1Tbs+ sugar
2Tbs butter (melted)
2 tsp baking powder.
1 Tsp vanilla

These are rough estimates though.....make it look like pancake batter. Maybe a touch more flour or something....i eyeball just about everything on Saturday morning. So each batch comes out slightly different. But blueberries in this are incredible....especially if picked that morning. Diced peaches aren't bad either. Ya know....variations.....and all that jazz.

The griddle needs to be slightly above 350°.....no modified food starch or powdered eggs or nonfat dry milk powder in it.....so the Browning is all on your heat. Mixes contain these things for "product performance " and they're cheap fillers.

Breakfast is often called the most important meal of the day, as it fuels your body and mind after hours of rest. A wholesome breakfast can include a balance of proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains to keep energy levels steady and improve focus throughout the morning.

Believe it or not, I had something besides oatmeal. Pumpkin spice waffles and sausage...

that sounds like a fitting autumnal breakfast! tomorrow, my wife & i will enjoy our usual waffle-bacon breakfast & coffee listening to old time country music.

it seems like it is the season, most definitely.

i was looking at online grocery stores and they almost have pumpkin flavored everything.

Hope you enjoy this season with your wife.
