I believe this message in Psalms was specifically for Jesus , if it wasn't and it was also for us , then none of us would ever have any ailments or injuries etc , would we ?

its sometimes hard to understand when we go though terrible things on earth why these things happen. he promises in Isaiah 48:10“I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering.” what did God say when job face trial? behold he is in your hands only leave his life intact.

During ww2 Missionary Darlene Deibler Rose encountered local raiders who threatened to steal food from their bungalow, she and other missionaries prayed, terrified. they stood never entering the bungalow Later, the would-be thieves claimed they saw large, frightening beings all around the bungalow and did not dare to enter.

Masturbation is not self love , it's scratching an itch that won't go away unless u scratch it , it's all driven by chemicals and neurons in the brain .
Self love is putting yourself before others , being selfish and self-centred and unwilling to compromise or sacrifice for the sake of someone else's happiness or well being . Greed is self love , avarice is self love , it's a long list but masturbation is just getting rid of an annoying itch that won't go until u scratch it . Scratch it , forget it and move on , move on being a good , kind , generous unselfish Christian .

This is the kind of advice that leads men and women to their spiritual destruction. You'll have an accounting for your words one day.
looking for someone to do mutual parental control on the phone

This is serious. I want to set up parental controls so I don't waste time on unnecessary things and don't do unnecessary things.

I think you're making a reasonable point. People who masturbate do know it is wrong and sinful. WHen they do it, they feel guilty because their conscience yells at them about it. So they go online to discuss it amongst Brothers & Sisters seeking support and justification.

The biggest danger in performing selfies on yourself is will absolutely lead to more sin and soon a lifestyle. and that may very well lead to their death and destruction. When we go against our conscience it hardens our heart towards God. None of these people have been given over to reprobate and none have a seared conscience...because they speak in the thread so it's obvious their conscience is still working! Like they say, if you gotta ask, then you already know the answer!

Don't harden your heart against God. Obey Him. Don't choose masturbation over God! That makes it idolatry doesn't it?

MUCH better to focus on what Jesus guides you to do than focus on what He doesn't want you to do.
The adversary has been crafty in distracting people to pursue this vanity.

I agree with you!

Malachi 3:13 “You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord.

“Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’

14 “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? 15 But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’”

The Faithful Remnant
16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.

17 “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. 18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

Hang in there, all you who live in God's power to overcome our sins. God is making the distinction!

Scripture says a river of life will flow through us. So whenever we are blessed by God, we turn around and immediately bless someone else with it or a portion of it as their needs dictate. It is the Lord's blessings upon us all. I think this is God's way of paying it forward.

We must strive to be a river and not hold unto ourselves because that turns us into a lake instead of a river. and Lakes stagnate from no flow.

So we have to strive to, let our light shine before men. (That sounds like a commandment almost!) in all that we do and say. (I'm talking to myself just as much as you!)

I asked the Lord one time to give me discernment. He said, if you want to practice you discernment look at people and try to see me within them./ That struck me as very profound. So just be nice.

Being nice includes warning other Christians that a false teaching is dangerous and to get away from it.

Jesus also drove out the money-changers at least twice. You probably think that wasn't nice either.

Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.

The desire to copulate is a natural occurance. As the amount of semen in a male, at any one point, increases, so does the desire to copulate. Without ejaculation of somekind, the male can think of nothing else but the desire to copulate. Once the ejaculation has occurred, the desire is gone and the person can again attend to normal life affairs. During the time of Jesus, they didn't have porno magazinesm or videos. When they got aroused, it was because of some female that they had encountered which on many occasions resulted in sinful thoughts which lead to actions. If the male recognizes what is happening in his body and directs his fantasy and desire to females that he knows he will never encounter, and at the same time hates this lustful urge and knows that the only way to get rid of it is through masturbation, then it can't be a sin. Not all man are married. A large number of males are single with no outlet for copulation. I say let God be the judge and also, treat all people that you come in contact with as brothers and sisters and not as sex objects. Pray to God that He help you be His slave to do His will and not the slave of the flesh. This message is not only for the original poster, but also for all those that masterbate and feel guilty. Release with control and direction. Never obsession.

If you are married, there should be no reason for you to masterbate fantasizing. Also, have some sympathy on single men who don't have a partner. I hope I have not offended anyone. I'm just trying to be honest.

There's absolutely no science in what you're saying. Nor is it proper spiritual advice what you're saying is completely against the scripture. Your body reabsorbs any of your bodily fluids. If you manage self control, there's absolutely no need to masturbate. I have a cold shower, once in a while if you like that, you're not an animal, you're not a beast or a wild donkey. You are given self controlled by God, but you choose to deny it so you act like a wild donkey. Human beings are given a higher nature were not animals in the same way. We battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and powers of darkness. When you accept the kind of thing you're saying above you except that you are uncontrollable and given over to your carnal desires. It makes no sense what you're saying neither is it scripture neither is it godly

It's not about honesty. It's just not reality. The reality is in marriage or outside of marriage you need self control. It's not about sympathy. I am currently a single man and I control myself. Many single men know how to control ourselves. You can exercise you can pray you can have human contact by calling a brother and going for a walk or just being in fellowship with other people without giving yourselves over to sexual desire as if it has more control over you than you do. Make every thought captive to the love that is in Christ Jesus. When you give yourself over to masturbation, you're giving yourself over to the demon of lust.

This nonsense about somehow the semen is so much as if your balls are actually going to break is absolute nonsense. People get blue ball because they keep stimulating themselves. You have to get yourself out of an environment where you keep touching yourself, do you not have control over your hands? Yes, you do. The advice that Jesus gave to cut off your hand is extreme analogy because he's showing you how ridiculous it is that you use such excuses as your hand can't be controlled to stop youto sin when you already have self control to stop touching yourself. Go do some push-ups and get shape and get your mind together so that you can think clearly and understand why you don't have a good woman in your life. And then make a decision to celibacy or to get yourself a job after the gym where you can provide for a woman if that is what you were called to do. And then within the safety of a healthy relationship, you can understand that you will also need self control just as much as when you were single. The worst thing you can ever do is try to get into a relationship simply to satisfy your sexual desires. And masturbation will not Stop there because you didn't control it when you were single. If you can't control yourself when you're single, you're not gonna be able to control yourself when you're married.

It is right that one should do everything in their power to not defile themselves with lust.
But at the same time, I cannot deny that "Release with control and direction" has helped me do just this.
To someone enslaved by desire but wants to quit, satan abuses sexual thoughts and temtation to continually torment them.
But God loves his people and infintely understands what they want to do. When I made a compromise before God, satan lost his power to afflict me and torment me with lustful imaginations, and my mind was directed to become cleaner and more organized.

No one else knows what goes on on another persons head but their own. Accusing others and roughly telling them how to go about a very personal issue doesn't help them. Go and speak like this to drug & cigarette abusers coming clean with patches and other medicines. Go and tell someone who's cutting themselves up with mental illness to just 'think differently'.
Overcoming isn't a process that should happen being overwhelmed with shame & guilt at every little offence that comes into mind. Overcoming is a process that should happen with the peaceful and personal council between a man is his omniescent all-understanding God, however he is lead to do so.

Why are there still so many good women who become broken-hearted by evil men, and vice versa?
What about the accounts of men who are broken just until they find a good relationship? They exist.

Well if go with this oversimplification any behaviour can be excused.

God is willing with open arms to help people overcome their shame, but your language only drives them deeper into worthless contempt for themselves. They will hate every bit of what they think, and forget that it is trough God that all things exist in the first place, and that they are how they are in the first place.
I loathed myself every hour of the day. I constantly stumbled over every little offensive thought, and because of my fear of acessing those kinds of thoughts and emotions and bringing them into submission, satan took control of them and created deeply offensive thoughts to torment me with, the effects of which I still feel to this day.
But as soon as I stopped the self-loathing and decided I could manage the things thoughts that appeared in me, and trusted God to let me deal with their effects without shame, satans scheme fell apart and his power to torment me fell away. Now my desire to masturbate has drastically decreased, and because I'm not afraid to do it in Gods salvation, satan hardly bothers trying to tempt me to do it anymore.

So yes, it's not a sin for people to releive themselves if it helps them gain self-control. These are the first commandments that we as christians are obligated to follow: To live God with all our might, and to love each other as we love ourselves.
Against love there is no law. If an action isn't against the love of God, it's not against the law.

But at the same time, I cannot deny that "Release with control and direction" has helped me do just this.
To someone enslaved by desire but wants to quit, satan abuses sexual thoughts and temtation to continually torment them.

Perhaps, but on a spiritual level it is an excuse. Be careful not to deceive yourself.

There is an actual "spirit of masturbation" and Derek Prince talks about them and has several testimonies about casting them out. When someone does it once, it is sexually immoral so it opens the door for the spirit of masturbation to enter and it will begin tempting you to do it more. Interesting choice of words there, someone enslaved by desire but wants to quit. If it gets to the point that you must do it and can't say no, then enslave would be a good term for it. It also implies ownership or possession by the spirit.

Derek Prince says the spirit of masturbation always comes out of the persons fingers and they can feel it leave. If you are possessed and enticed by that spirit, the next thing you know he invites all his buddies in also, like the spirit of Lust which begins enticing you in even more ways and more often. I think it's called having a stronghold in you? so that thing needs cast out brother.

So yes, it's not a sin for people to releive themselves if it helps them gain self-control. These are the first commandments that we as christians are obligated to follow: To live God with all our might, and to love each other as we love ourselves.
Against love there is no law. If an action isn't against the love of God, it's not against the law.

Gain self control?! Are you joshing me? What about Discipline? Can you not discipline yourself and rise above these things?

Would you do it in front of the Lord if He was standing right in front of you?
(well He is even if you can't see Him).

Your personal Conscience is obviously working fine based on things you say in your post. so on some level, you do know it's wrong.

Not doing it one time hints at control. Controlling yourself in that way many times, becomes being disciplined. Your asking for some sort of justification with your alternate to judge the responses (and rightly so). But I find myself unable to agree with you. Doing the act is not gaining control my friend. It's losing control at the crucial moment. Develop fortitude of spirit within yourself and tell it no. You can do it and your conscience does know the truth.
