I'm getting to know my recently acquired Smith Mod 60 .357.... it's a 3" barrel with adjustable sights. The guy I bought it from had put some wood grips on it, but also had the original Hogues. I put the Hogues back on it, and sort of liked the feel, even though it felt a little thin.. after shooting it the first time, I put the wood grips back on... there just wasn't enough control with those slim rubber grips.
I shot it again a few days ago, and it feels much better. I'm still working up loads for it, and the SP101, but it's promising. The top target is with some XTreme plated hollow base wadcutters at just under 800 fps.
The lower target it is with some 110g JHP bullets loaded in 38sp cases.
These were at 15 yards, resting my wrists on the shooting bench for stability.
