Discernment Folks --

If you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ---ask for Discernment it is a GIFT of the Holy Spirit ----but you need to ASK for it ----it does not come to you automatically -----you need to pray and ASK for it ---Very important to have -----when you go into Church settings today -------

Discernment is like hearing from God in many ways.

But the issue is do you know the difference between the voice and discernment of God compared to your own beliefs and thoughts?

Ok, I understand what you are saying but if you are asking of my opinion, it still doesn't sit right with me.
Well that is fine your entitled to that I am just saying if it was not God I would have shown the signs of it like foaming at the mouth or seizure like symptom and certainly not that fake holy laughter but my foot was healed soon after it though as it was broken at the time

Just out of curiosity here and nothing more. I would venture to guess that you have communicated with Blain in the past about other topics. My question to you would then be do you find him to be truthful and reliable? And if so, why would you not believe this experience he is discussing?
To be honest I am not sure we have discussed that much together if we have I don't remember I have not the best memory but one thing I am sure plenty of people can say about me even those who dislike me is that I am pretty open about things that actually sometimes gets me under arrows but I just only know to speak my heart what you see is what you get with me.

I don't expect people to believe me about this stuff I can be as honest as I can but all I can do is is that

I'm a little late in this thread, but I have some advice.
When unsure about any manifestation of the Spirit, always ask yourself... What was the purpose of that? Does anyone leave with a real change?
Jesus wouldn't send the Holy Spirit unto us to simply shake us up or knock us down without leaving a permanent change.
God is a God of PURPOSE.
No one of the Trinity puts on a show for us. God is not an entertainer.
That said, I have witnessed times where His people got beside themselves & the Holy Spirit still did a work in God's house in spite of it.
Now you say, how can that happen? It's simple.
EVERY move of God happens by His grace. We don't deserve it. There doesn't need to be a perfect attitude in His house or a perfect service because if that was necessary, it would NEVER happen.
When Jesus was doing miracles in the multitudes, remember how many times He cast out devils. In spite of demon-possessed people present, Jesus could still do what He needed to do.
And He still does. :D

I did recieve a change yes I was moved and strengthened in my faith and not long after this event my broken foot was healed and what happened also inspired everyone who saw as they came to me saying how amazing it was and that apparently no one had ever just walked up to the stage and done that before.

So it wasnt just for me it was for everyone who saw it.

Firstly..

Women preaching?

No examples of a women as a bishop/pastor in the Bible.
There are also no examples of computers, guitars, keyboards, projection screens, toilet paper, automobiles, Wi-Fi, or church buildings!
In other words, absence of examples is no evidence that they shouldn't exist.

He has sought one on one relationship with man since the 1st chapter, scripture confirms experience.

Here is a question and a story I visited a church called rebibal for Christ this place was unlike any other church I have been to the spirit hits you like a wall when you walk in. well the preacher was a woman and she was preaching powerfully as I listened I began to feel a kind of trance take over and my head kepts falling backwards but I resisted it until the third time now I had a broken foot at that time but the spirit took over my body and I began walking to the stage barely aware of what was going on

she kept preaching seeing me walking to the stage and as soon as I got to the top she put her hands on my forehead and my body fell backwards but was caught by several people who began speaking tongues over me I even tried to resist and get up but my body simply wouldn't and I saw a portal open and jesus was smiling at me

Now this was what I think is called slain in the spirit but my question is if this can be explained with scripture
Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have personally had similar experiences twice. Both times I was overwhelmed and fell at the laying on of hands in prayer. The first time I fell forward and the other backward. Both times the experience happened without any warning. And I never second guessed that it was the strong spiritual presence of God that overwhelmed my body.

I believe at least two accounts reveal the experience is biblical:
“They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.” (John 18:5-6)

“At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” (Acts 26:13-14)

Agree, nor should experience be used to interpret scripture.
There is a much-needed caveat on that statement:

Experience should not be the only or primary tool we use to interpret Scripture.

We should, however, consider our experience when interpreting Scripture. A "text-only" interpretation can be quite wacky, whereas an interpretation based on all available evidence including experience is more likely to be sound.
