It's an estimation based on past performance.

And do-do is right lol!
Which is probably how the US has gone 249 years with one of the two political parties getting voted out of office in the first place. Makes you wonder how "good" verses "evil" can run against each other for so many years and the Devil beat out God in every other election like people think right? I suppose I've been bored the last week or so my whole family has had Covid and so in between naps I've been reading along. Digging through some of the older post it amazes me that some of you guys can spend so much time and effort looking for bad stuff about the two opposing political parties. I cant imagine having nothing better to do than worry about politicians and as soon as the Covid monster turns me loose I'll probably find something better to do again.

Not sure what you mean.
" Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”

Growing as we speak.

We still need the law of God. The Spirit does not operate in contradiction to the law/word of God
.
Neither does one keep the law by trying to keep the law. And as you say, the Spirit cannot lead us contrary to the law. He knows it fully and completely. We don't.

When we talk about the US being founded as a Christian nation, we have to keep something important in mind. Native Americans lived in this land for thousands of years before the Europeans showed up. When people say the US was founded as a Christian nation, they mean brutal and violent Europeans calling themselves "Christians" stole the land from the natives, killed off the buffalo, and founded their new nation here. If that makes the US a Christian nation then I guess it is.
What do you think the Europeans owed to those they found here? Did the "native Americans own the whole country?

Do you live your life or does the Spirit live it apart from you?
We are commanded to do certain things in scripture. Do we do them? Or Does the Spirit do them and we are just spectators
?

I live, yet not I; Christ lives within me. While it is a cooperative effort, our cooperation is in yielding; not doing. Apart from Christ we can do nothing.

What do you believe walking in the Spirit consists in?

They didn't owe them brutal genocide. If the settlers were actually Christians, the outcome would've looked a lot different. I'm curious, do you believe the settlers acted in Christian love toward the natives?

What do you believe walking in the Spirit consists in?
1] jn15:
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

2] Rom8:
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

3] 1cor2:
0 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

4] jn14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

5] Gal5: 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6] 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Rom3:31 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Hello R.A> I do not think all the settlers were believers. I think at first there were many believers, but the ungodly came along with them. I have driven in all the states except Alaska. The Indians were given a raw deal in many ways and placed on land that was not the best for sure. I think they were not angelic in their conduct either. keep in mind, they were mostly idol worshippers themselves, and men are totally depraved. It did not make for a good mix, despite Hollywood's version of Dancing with Wolves.

Sounds like you agree, the US wasn't founded as a Christian nation.
