That looks to be people who do not want to obey the truth of God.I agree... that would be the path of death, not life.
Yeah I’m just saying if a person reads the whole letter Paul tells us what can go wrong with what he said in your post there . That’s only one of five chapters of a letter he wrote them the whole letter tells them what’s been done for them first and then tells them what’s also expected of them
or else the warning he’s telling them will come
your right it’s there to call people who aren’t living upright to repentance so they receive thier inheritance rather than Gods wrath for the disobedient it’s important to acknolwedge what can go wrong because Christian’s aren’t
all walking the walk and need to hear about repentance that’s why Paul put it in almost every epistle like chapter 5 there in Ephesians
“For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.”
Ephesians 5:5-7 KJV
Or chapter 5 of Galatians
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Galatians 5:19-21 KJV
my point was just to answer your question of what can go wrong with what he says in chapter 1 and 2 ….. it’s written in chapter 5 as a warning that’s always found in Paul’s writings to the church and really all the scripture we believe
