The miraculous baptisms in the New Testament were completely from God. The ones receiving it were NOT seeking it; they were not praying for it; they were not expecting it, they were not asking for it . It came upon them SUDDENLY, UNEXPECTANTLY, And totally at God’s discretion. That’s not what you see many times today from people who claim to have had it. You see people praying for it, pleading, crying and begging God for it. For what purpose?? When the last apostle died, all spiritual gifts ceased.

When Jesus gave the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel, to his apostles, he told them to Baptize people. THE APOSTLES COULD NOT BAPTIZE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM. Only God could do that. So I know Jesus is not telling them to go into all the workd and baptize people with Holy Spirit baptism. He is telling them to GO OUT INTO ALL THE WORLD AND BAPTIZE PEOPLE WITH WATER BAPTISM. Because that was all they could do. It was not possible for men to baptize with Holy Spirit baptism. That is God’s work.
So everytime you read the word “baptize” in scripture, it is water baptism unless the scripture says different as it did in Acts2 and Acts 10.

When Jesus gave the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel, to his apostles, he told them to Baptize people. THE APOSTLES COULD NOT BAPTIZE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM. Only God could do that. So I know Jesus is not telling them to go into all the workd and baptize people with Holy Spirit baptism. He is telling them to GO OUT INTO ALL THE WORLD AND BAPTIZE PEOPLE WITH WATER BAPTISM. Because that was all they could do. It was not possible for men to baptize with Holy Spirit baptism. That is God’s work.
So everytime you read the word “baptize” in scripture, it is water baptism unless the scripture says different as it did in Acts2 and Acts 10.

No,I understand there are some people who believe water is holy and that if someone goes down into water,they become holy because they have become one with the water.

Fact is, there is nothing holy about water baptism.Israelites practiced water baptism since the days of Mosses and believe immersion into water cleans and purifies them.Even today they practice the law of Moses immersion into water for work in the synagogues.

It is the baptism of the holy Ghost that makes the temple of God holy.It is not by our works but by the work of God.If you can make yourself holy by taking a bath in water, then Christ would have never needed to die.But Christ ascended into heaven so that he could make intercession for sinners and shed the holy spirit upon us.It is only by these works that someone is made holy.Not by taking a bath in water.

A. There are other references to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The others aren't visible manifestations except for some special gifts.
B. The most rebuked and carnal church were told the following. Many pastors today would wrongly say that they weren't saved or there's no such thing as a carnal Christian.

So when I see this, the baptism here IS water baptism, but it isn't about salvation, it's about baptism as a pre requirement to join a local church.

You say you believe God in acts 2:38 but it's not God speaking in acts 2:38.

It is God speaking in Acts 10:15

This is God speaking

The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

Yet you say God did not make the gentiles clean and it was Peter who made them clean when he washed them in water.

If you had recieved the holy spirit then you would preach holy spirit baptism But you preach the only baptism you have received .Water.

They were convinced these men were telling the truth because they had the Holy Spirit. It CONFIRMED. Their words. Hebrews 2:3-4 and Mark 16:20.
The same situation at Cornelius’s house. Cornelius was not trying to get the “spirit”!!He was as surprised as everyone elsevwhen it happened. Compare that to the way people “CLAIM” to get the “Spirit” today. You have people BEGGING, CRYING, PLEADING with God, trying to “PRAY THROUGH”! THERE’s NOTHING like that in the Bible. NO, my friend. The Apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit—they had just been baptized with it. When they spoke it was as if God was speaking through them. Luke 12:11 Christ told them not to worry about what they were going to say because the HOLY SPIRIT would tell them what to say. How can you say God was not talking when Peter spoke in Acts 2?? 2 Peter 1:21, Peter said that holy men of God spoke as they were directed by the Holy Spirit. If God was talking in Acts 10 as you suggest, then the Holy Spirit was talking in Acts 2. There is no difference and no contradiction. Otherwise, you have a “faith problem.”
