Because King James was the King who ordered the Bible published, and common people back then did not argue with Kings. That's my guess!
And, Scripturally Speaking, God Says:

"Daniel answered and said, Blessed be The Name of God for
ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His: And He changeth
the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and Setteth Up
kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them
that know understanding" (Daniel 2:20-21)
+
"And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of
every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad,
the multitude came together, and were confounded, because
that every man heard them speak in his own language."
(Acts 2:5)
Thus, can we not "Bless The Name Of God," Who "set up a king" so that
we can have His Words Of Truth, "in our own language"?

Amen.

how about "sheep"? I'm sad to say, I have yet to find where, Paul, our apostle
called anyone in The Body Of Christ, today, any of these, in Romans - Philemon,
but, I did find 'these':

{adopted, dear} children of {the Living God, light, the day, Abraham, promise}, believers, sons {of God}, daughters, brothers, sisters, brethren {beloved, carnal, faithful, and spiritual}, babes In Christ, {young, aged} men/women, {dearly} beloved {of The LORD}, members {in particular, one of another}, servants {of Christ}, saints, ministers, fellowlabourers, workers, co-labourers {with God}, elect of God, followers of God, heirs/joint-heirs, the temple {of God}, comforters, walkers, runners, kissers, greeters, saluters, sufferers, groaners, prayer partners, rejoicers, warriors, wrestlers, And, ambassadors of Christ!

No 'priests/kings/sheep' found In God's program of
The Revelation Of The Mystery, Under Grace, but:

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ!” (online):

I believe you can search and find God Does Have "sheep, priests, and kings"
in His Prophecy / Covenants / Law program for His 'nation of Israel'...

More Differences / Distinctions are here, If you wish:

Basic Distinctions (14 + 4 more) Of Prophecy vs Mystery!
Update/Addition (#19)

Amen.

In the bible Jesus was called the king in several verses

There's also several verses of Jesus living in you.

It's not so difficult to comprehend if you look at it this way 😊

Streeeeetch. Nothing like cutting and pasting Scripture to support a belief system.

Writers or sponsors usually name the work after themselves. Tyndal Bible, Wycliff Bible, Matthew Henry Bible, Jamieson, Fausset and Brown, King James and others.

The term "Textus Receptus" did not exist until the Elzevir brothers used it as an advertising logo more than a decade after the KJV was published. It's anachronistic to say that any church, group, or person used it prior to that time. They may have used the same sources but not the "Textus Receptus".
It does not matter when the term "Textus Rceptus" was used first. Even though the Elzevirs used this term, it was the 1550 edition of the Greek Text of Robert Stephens (Stephanus) which actually became the Textus Receptus. But the Textus Receptus goes all the way back to the 1st century as the traditional text of the NT (contrary to what you claim). The King James Bible is based predominantly on this text, but does have some very slight differences because the KJB translators were also looking at other texts.

why should it be called the king James bible 🤔
It was actually "The Authorized Version appointed to be read in churches". But since King James I commissioned this work, and it was completed under his reign, it is also called the King James Bible. The 1611 edition had archaic English which was later on updated. But the text was not changed.

ORIGINAL
In the beginning God created the Heauen, and the Earth. And the earth was without forme, and voyd, and darkenesse was vpon the face of the deepe: and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the face of the waters.

STANDARD
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
