This is just from my own observation: the churches I've been part of try their best to teach sexual purity, but they can't really do anything absolute, or even effective, at enforcing it.
I've written about this before so I'm sorry to bore anyone, but I grew up in WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) schools. Sex was only talked about in the context of it being God's great gift in marriage; otherwise, the message seemed to be, "
Don't think about it, don't talk about it, and for goodness sake, don't ask us anything about it!" Sex education was never taught but it assumed that we all knew how sex worked, and we all needed to avoid it in all forms as much as possible.
