I completely disagree. You sound like a socialist with little knowledge of property rights.
Most definitely not a socialist. Wouldn't so-called "intellectual property" rights benefit socialists the most, as these inhibit the advancement and betterment of mankind?

This is a most ridiculous statement.
Do you know anything about how innovation works, patent laws and the ability to use other's innovations?
I'm not necessarily against all innovation works, patent laws and some degree of protection for investment and effort. However, show me a biblical example of this. That you may find it ridiculous is just testament to how far our world is from biblical norms.

Every word has a semantic range like the word "stealing" and taking something that is not yours without permission and not giving the recompense due is stealing.
No. Stealing has a biblical foundation, and therefore has a biblical definition. The moral issue with stealing is that it takes away property from somebody else, not necessarily that it profits the thief. A duplication of work done does not take property from someone else, and therefore does not meet the true definition of stealing. Sure, man can redefine words to mean what they're not, but as a Christian, I take my morals from the bible. You might call "intellectual property" duplication theft or stealing, but it's actually not. Probably espionage or spying are the most accurate terms, and these are not necessarily sins (especially if we are at war with the targets of the espionage or spying). Largely, "intellectual property" is a civil matter, not a moral or (true) criminal matter.

People's time, contributions, investment and effort deserves to be protected.
I agree. However, this doesn't change the fact that duplication of a work is not stealing nor theft. As I've said, if this were the case, mankind would have been unable to advance past the invention of the wheel. And name an invention of man that wasn't already thought of by God previously? In truth, all glory belongs to God, so I don't see harm in all of mankind profiting from God's genius.

Really past the first invention of anything. Innovation is standing on the shoulders of those who worked before

I cannot relate to how you think the world should be, your understanding of scripture seems hyper-literal as though we should still be living in the first century, thinking the earth is flat, riding donkeys and dying at the age or 40.

thinking the earth is flat, riding donkeys and dying at the age or 40.
They didnt think the earth flat, riding equine is good and fun, and the dying young thing is a abuse of statistics.

So getting back on the topic that the OP posted. I ran into a ministry that is saying anger is not a primary emotion but rather a secondary emotion that our brain skips to. When our bodies are uncomfortable expressing a primary emotion such as fear, sadness,we default to a secondary emotion such as anger. Primary emotion is what we need to find and backtrack to .We use anger as an indication that there is a problem- Warning light like an Engine warning light on the dashboard of one’s car. When the anger comes on we haven’t sinned yet but we should take that anger as an indication to step back and begin reflecting on what is actually happening here searching for the root of the anger rather than blowing up into rage. Ultimately seeking reconciliation with the person we are at surface angry towards. Anger is not sin but if left unattended it can lead to sin.

We ought to keep in mind The Bible is NOT a literal science book and was not intended to be read as a science book. People come to read the Bible for the wrong motives and will find whatever they want to read into it. The Bible was written to a people who had zero concept of Earth beyond what they could visually see with their own eyes in the moment. We often read our modern knowledge and modern culture into the scriptures. God in His infinite wisdom knew He had to speak to his people in the cultural context they could understand. Like how God spoke to Job . Would have a simple agrarian man like Job understood God talking about a sphere? Not a chance. God speaks the language of the culture He is trying to reach. The Bible is primarily a book of relational examples of how we should relate to our God not a book on how the literal universe is built. To focus on the literal descriptions of earths foundation we miss the larger relational story between humans and the God of the universe.

I had a Bible college teacher that said just copy from the copy machine. And another that admitted it was stealing. I personally think it's wrong but not that uncommon. People do lose money if you pirate but in this case just credit. I don't know if she was trying to present it as her or just sharing it. The heart matters and only God knows.

I can't really say it's a secondary emotion. (I guess it can be, if it is a response to another that we dont want to deal with) But i do know it is an indicator that is telling us it's time to evaluate a situation. I know that for me, i get angry the most when i struggle with something material, like at work; when i face an obstacle that makes my work much more difficult. Dealing with it with out becoming sinful is not easy and it is where i fail.

Anger occurs when our desires (whether unrighteous desires or righteous desires) have not been met. The loss of those desires causes a grievous displeasure that can be manifested in various ways. Although anger can be righteous (Eph. 4:26), we most often have and thus display unrighteous anger. Unrighteous anger is usually accompanied by pride and selfishness. Contrary to anger are meekness, self-control, peace, and patience.
ANGER in the heart says things such as: "I have a bad attitude." "I am not getting what I want." "I am bummed, grumpy, irritated, disappointed, or frustrated."

Anxiety is worry. It is a care or concern for something to the extent that it disturbs or troubles our soul. It is taking thought to something so much that it encumbers our mind. Anxiety causes fear, sorrow, fretting, and dread because we believe that God will not care for our situation appropriately.
ANXIETY in the heart says such things as: "I can't stop thinking about this." "I'm stressed out!" "God is not taking care of this the right way."

Bitterness is a form of anger toward God and others that brings despair of soul. It is a hatred of others and a lack of forgiveness of their wrongs, whether those wrongs are real or perceived. Our bitterness grieves that situations have not been made “right” according to our own expectations. Bitterness causes us to miss out on God’s grace in daily life, and it spreads trouble to others (Heb. 12:15). Contrary to bitterness are joy, love, and meekness.
BITTERNESS in the heart says such things as: "I want others to suffer for their wrongs against me." "I hate them." "God has done wrong to me." "I can't get over this...."

Despair is a state of complete hopelessness that fails to have a biblical, eternal perspective. Despair is a fixation upon earthly, temporal situations that causes a downcast spirit and utter discouragement. It is the sin of unbelief in the fact that God always acts and assists in a way that is for our absolute good and total benefit. Contrary to despair is the faith and confidence in God’s sovereign goodness that leads to joyful hope and patient endurance.
DESPAIR in the heart says things such as: "God cannot help me." "My life is hopeless." "I cannot go on." "God is doing wrong to me.

Blessings.
Great stuff Alice. it all adds up to failure to manifest the inner Christ life.

I don't know, I printed a gospel tract once, I could only afford 100 copies. A bro got hold of it and printed 1, 000s and 1, 000s of them.

... I was delighted.

anything God gives us is common property ... right?

I dunno. I have a feeling that commercialised praise music is kinda losing it's gospel glow.

You can tell that to @Moses_Young he doesn't think the earth is a sphere.

As for the rest each to his own, I like my car.
I am aware of the passage, but the word used was for round like a circle (flat), not round like a ball.

Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

My reasoning is thus: Christians will adhere to the command of their Lord. If they do not, then they are not obeying the Lord, and therefore have no right to be using His material and scripture to make a profit (and should find another line of work).

is that what Christ and the apostles taught us though? Is that a Christ like attitude and heart towards those who have transgressed?

“Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭18‬:‭24‬-‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Mark 9:39-40 ESV
But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. For the one who is not against us is for us.

I would say obeying is what we as believers are taught.

1 John 2:2-6
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. One who says, “I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him. But God’s love has most certainly been perfected in whoever keeps his word. This is how we know that we are in him: he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.

We should not be fooled by those who walk without obedience and their lives not changing. That applies to leaders, all of them, too.

You are a very rational person. We all go through these processes before we really know God.
