God's Election - God has chosen the way unto salvation through his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Man cannot will it or work it any other way. Man must go through Jesus Christ by believing in the death, burial, and resurrection for sins. Once a man believes the gospel, God places that man in Christ and puts the Holy Spirit in that man. He then predestinates that man, for the future adoption which is the redemption of the body. This destination is the final result of all those in Christ.
There are different variations of both, you’ll fit in somewhere you just don’t know it yet.What to do when I disagree with both calvinism and arminianism?
That’s my purpose in starting the thread, to encourage research. There’s an awful lot of people on here that have a lot to say on the topic without really understand what they’re saying. And without realizing many great men, on both sides, have contemplated these things in the past.

Both armenian views and calvin views have some serious flaws.
This debate also causes alot of hate and anxiety in chat rooms. as everyone tries to pin people into one of the two groups. which I think if we look at it. Most people here are neither of these two groups. so when others try to pin them to one or the other.. there is no line of communication..

I believe the body of Christ is predestinated to glory. But I believe every person has the free will to enter into the body of Christ by obeying the Gospel.
Just like Israel is the elect of God, but many israelites went into ba'al worship and weren't saved. The bible says "As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes."
So there you have people who are unsaved (enemies of the gospel) but who are still called elect due to their israelite lineage. Clearly election does not always mean salvation.
The nation of Israel is elect but not all who descend from Israel belong to Israel.
Not really enough info. But language like, man’s free will and his ability to enter the body of Christ (aka salvation) by obeying, are typically used by Arminian types.

Adam is free to eat of any tree in Eden but he’s warned not to eat of one tree in Eden or he will surely die. The only thing restraining Adam from the forbidden fruit is trusting Gods word that said it’s death. Mankind was created inherantly free to choose to either believe God or to reject what God said.
satan didn’t strong arm them he told them a lie contrary to what God told them. They freely had both words and freely chose the serpents word to obey.
then you look at the result of what adam did for all Of his natural offspring ( human beings )

At his knowledge isn’t meant to be in us it’s not of God for man to have this issue

In order for someone to sin they have to be informed first God said “don’t eat this fruit you’ll die for sure “ Satan said “ you won’t die it will make you wise as gods “ sin is to know what is right and then do the opposite. Adam and Eve knew what god said and they also heard the devils lie
a they had two words opposite “ you will die “ “ you won’t die “ they trusted the serpent rather than thier creator who blessed them and gave the earth to them to rule in his image and likeness
later when the law came they were still free to choose Gods word and live like Adam or reject it and die like Adam

God also set life and death before Adam and Eve and they chose death
now the choice is bekieve in Jesus and live or reject him and die still the same offer life and death is in accepting or rejecting what God is saying to you he’s saying the gospel to everyone and saying believe and live reject and die
anytime a person has two options and are informed of the result of each they have been given a choice and can choose freely and reap the results promised
at he only thing that keeps us from choosing Jesus is the idea we can’t choose Jesus

I would say let’s see some scripture to back up that claim but I’m pretty sure everyone here knows that’s anti-biblical

Is God deceiving them telling them they have a choice between life and death good and evil ? Or is he informing them?
That’s what God said but Satan would be the one explaining to them just like in Eden the opposite

That’s a choice they now have who to believe that’s all that matters at this point if they believe Gods true words they’ll live , if they choose satans word they’ll die for sure like God told them ,
In no universe did they have no choice the choice of life and death is placed before them just like at horeb

Same offer life with God in paradise or death based on the choice we make after hearing the truth from God but like I was saying after God speaks and informs people of life and death there’s always another word coming behind that

In line with the progressive views on religion, Remonstrants have been blessing same-sex partnerships on an equal footing as different sex weddings from 1986 onwards (church weddings have no legal status in the Netherlands, where the legally acknowledged civil same-sex marriages became possible in 2001).[12][13] In this the Remonstrants were the first Christian church in the world to bless same-sex relationships similar to other relations.[14]” Wiki.
